Dodge Challenger 1971 Description

Neat project with a lot of potential. this car came EL5 butterscotch yellow with black vinyl top . chestnut brown interior. and wide front periphery molding. P. S. . manual brakes. this was an a/c car . one of the under hood a/c stuff remains as seen in pics. N. O. M. It currently has a Smokey 1968 318 engine. 04 trans. and a 7 1/4 rear. I recently installed new valve stem seals and reseated the valves. I installed a 4 barrel intake with a 600 cfm edelbrock electric choke carb. new headers and new 2. 5" exhaust(just hanging in place) . have installed new patch panels in both front floor boards as well as the drivers side lower windshield corner. bear in mind this was an amateur job) this car does not have a windshield. yep I broke it trying to get it out) there was some scaling in the truck as well as the rear floor boards which I treated with Por15 and in the case of pinholes Por15 with fiberglass sheeting for support. The car was hit in the drivers side rear at some point . here was some damage around the taillight area. which is covered by the taillight surround. this car has dents. ings. ondo. aves. nd some minor rust. the headliner is separating on both sides where it joins with the rear door panels. the dash is cracked like crazy. the lower core support looks like someone beat it with a hammer. nbsp; the drivers side shock access in the trunk is beat up . The bucket seats aren't the originals. they are from a B body. I do have the correct seat tracks. The car starts. runs and yard drives just fine. it has a electronic fuel pump. new plugs/wires. The rear bumper is bent and the front bumper has pitting. All of the vinyl top . rip rail. reveal molding and door seals are with the car. other than that. what you see in the pics is what you get. if you don't see it then it doesn't come with it. I Will answer any and all questions you have or I will take pictures of any areas you like. If you are looking for a unique ride this would be it. I was going to make a RT tribute . ut this one would be nice the way it came as well. I also have the Build sheet. The reason for the sale is I have found another project and I don't have room for both. This car is being sold as is where is. I will not ship this car. you must pick it up. There are no warranties implied. Cash or bank transfer only. Zero feedback bidders must contact me first or I will cancel your bid. This car is for sale locally as well so I reserve the right to end the auction if it sells. I expect full payment with in 10 days of auction close unless prior arrangements have been made. Please ask all questions and look at all the pictures before you bid. banks generally don't loan money on muscle cars( especially ones in primer with a rustoleum hood stripe) so be sure before you bid. Thanks for looking and good luck. Smokey 318 video! https://youtu. be/nVb_HE1lxegOn May-03-15 at 16:25:36 PDT. seller added the following information:Ok I need this thing to sell. if reserve is met I will add in all the 340 parts I was accumulating which includes everything you see in the newly added pics. 1970 casting date 340 block. and the legendary X heads . s well as a complete drum to drum 489 case e body 8 3/4 rear with open 2. 76 gears. Also I have taken pictures of two areas on the car that I feel I would want someone to point out to me before I bought it. first is the lower drivers side door. it has a dent as well as a nickel head sized hole with some bubbling and pitting around it. the second is the passenger side lower grille mount is broke and allows the grill to drop away from the headlight buckets to form about an inch gap. I had this aluminum taped to cure it temporarily which I removed so you could see the break. again I know its a project and has a ton of little things wrong but I feel these things stand out. thanks again
