Mercury Monterey 1956 Description

1956 Mercury Monterey. Uncommonly solid body including floors and rocker panels. There is no motor or transmission with the car. It used to have a 312 V8 and automatic transmission. This would be an excellent candidate for a Rat Rod. The rust I can see are some pinholes in the bottoms of the rear RH quarter panel and a several other lower body areas mostly on the RH side. Floor pans look good for a car this old. There is surface rust on the upper parts of the body where the paint flaked off. Passenger door has some minor dents and the glass is broken. I have a replacement glass for that door. All other glass is intact but the windshield has a crack. Seats and headliner need to be redone. Inside door panels are in the trunk. Drivers door needs to be adjusted slightly as it sits too close to the front fender. The inside door hardware is missing. The hubcaps are from a 1955 model Mercury. The car steers and rolls. Ask questions before bidding because the old girl is sold "AS IS". Buyer is responsible for making and paying for shipping. Payment must be made in full within 1 week of the end of the auction.
