Mercury Meteor 1963 Description
I am selling this car for my neighbor. 1963 Mercury Meteor 2dr hdtp. S33. He just bought another collector car but only has room for 1. Thus the reason for selling it. He has me selling it for him because his business keeps him devoted all day. So you will be dealing with me directly. Any questions call Scotty @ 601-754-1794.This is a 10-11 year old Body-on-Frame restoration that has held up nicely. This was not an Over the Top restoration, however; it was a really nice restoration job. The engine was upgraded from a 260 V8 to a 302 2bbl with serpentine belt drive system, and upgraded vintage air conditioned(R134A) with an OEM under dash a/c box. The transmission has been upgraded to a C4 automatic. The brakes have also been gone through recently. With all that said, this car runs, drives and stops like riding on a cloud.
The original red interior is in great shape and really accents this car, especially with factory bucket seats and console. The stereo and speakers have also been upgraded in this car to a CD/IPOD/AM-FM receiver.
The White paint is more of a pearl tint (not sure of technical name). But it is super nice from any distance. The S33 badges were removed at that time and he only has 1 to go with the car. The body panels, lines and gaps are straight as well as all if the chrome and bright work(a few dings). To m, the rear fender lines is what gives this car a uniqueness that stands out over the rest.
The miles only read 76691.I can not verify this to be actual, but it looks to be.
To stay with the" old-skool" theme, the 14" baby moon wheels have been added that really set it off.The windows are tinted to keep the inside cool during those hot summer months.
There is no apparent rust present or past and all electrical wiring, gauges, etc... function properly. In summary this car needs nothing to be enjoyed immediately and maybe win a few local car shows. This car looks even better in person.
A $500 non refundable deposit is due immediately following auction. All inspections are welcomed and encouraged before listing ends.Payment in full due in 3 business days. NO EXCEPTIONS.
A very fair reserve price has been set for the next owner to enjoy it as much as he has. He also wants to reserve the option to end the auction early if it sells locally.
