Mercury Eight 1941 Description

This is an opportunity to own a rare 1941 Mercury Eight sedan, when was the last time you saw a sweet early Merc passing by atyour local car show. This baby is very solid for its age, very little rust and with great potential. My hopeswere to build a similar ride as "Joe Brenner's 1941 Merc" ride from the 50's. Look him up at "KUSTOMRAMA.com"and you will fall in love with his custom 41' Merc. Unfortunately, I have too many projects, hopefullythe right buyer sees what I saw in her(great potential to be something different, too many Chevy's). The original flat eight engine and transmission are long gone, but if you want to restore it to original (many flat eight engines available for a fair price), it should be no problem because nothing has been modified or messed with.Unless you would like to go with a sweet V8 engine and 700R4 tranny combo, then it sits mint for you to make the suspension upgrades you want to invest in. The floors are solid, except the front floor board that bolts on, it has rust through but you can buy a new one and replace it to make the floors pretty much perfect.Besides that, the only other area that needs attention is the trunk areaunder the roll pan, look at the pics. The original steering column and steering wheelarenot included, I will include an oldfordone that needs work. The doors are very clean and shut like they did in 1941. The rare bumpers with guardsand stainless is all there with the exception of one or two small pieces that can be easily found for reasonable prices. Some glass and trim is missing and some needs to be replaced. The original interior seats are there andthe dash gauges, but need to be restored. The Merc even has all the headlight trim, license plate trim/brackets andoriginal CA black plates. This rare(very few left, low production because of the war) has great potential to be all original, custom or whatever your mind desires. The car is not 100% complete, but very little from it. The buy it now price and reserve are very reasonable comparedto what somepeople areselling for just the front end. Please look at all the pics and ask as many questions as you need to. Seller has described vehicle as best as possible.Vehicle isSOLD AS IS, no warranties. Please review all pictures and ask as many questions as needed, but please ONLY BID if your a serious buyer(Cash-in-hand). Seller reserves the right to end auction, as vehicle being sold locally. Buyer is responsible for shipping and responsible for asking questions before bidding. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!!!!!!
