Mercury Caliente 1967 Description

Up for auction is a '67 Mercury Comet Caliente two door hardtop. V8, automatic, power steering.It sat outside neglected for approx thirty years. It does not run. It rolls and steers.The car needs total restoration. There is rust in the trunk and the floors. The car is missing the alternator and the Caliente letters that attach between the tail lights. Everything else appears to be present.The driver's door does not open. The passenger door does not latch. Both front windows do not roll down, but the rear side windows both roll down.The previous owner said the engine is a 289. The intake manifold has a C4 part number, so the engine may not be original to the car.There are no keys, but all of the locks are present.The previous owner lost the title. I turned in the necessary paperwork for a title one month ago today. DMV said 4-6 weeks, I expect the title will coming very soon and will update the listing when in hand.
