Mercury Cougar 1968 Description
This is one of those sales I will regret - but the facts are I have too many and they must go - this is all factory (1 repaint) - please look at the paper work - it does have 50k miles - that is the true mileage - it was rebuilt less then 1000 miles ago - even though it didn't need it - my friend wanted to freshen it up - there is a picture of the paper work. some history - I friend bought the car in 1999 from Oregon (from what he was told, and paper work seems to back it up- original owner sold it in 1995 - then sold to investor/flipper in 1999 - then he bought it)- he hired somebody to check it out to make sure it was as nice as they said. he shipped it to RI - at the time it had 47k and it was in great shape. he always garaged it and only went to a few shows a year. In 2003 he decided he wanted to freshen up the motor. That was done and the only thing not original is he had a stock 4 barrel put in and a mild cam. I bought it in 2008 - I have always had it garaged - I have driven it less then 1000 miles - he never drove it after the motor was done. I bought it and really held it for him for a few years in case he wanted to buy it back as he didn't want to sell it - but bad circumstances forced him to sell it. At the time my collection was small enough to fit all the cars - now a sickness has overtaken me and I admit it - so I have to sell a bunch of them - this is hard, he last few were hard, nd the 61 vette is next and that will be just as hard.
I had the AC recharged and it worked great - currently it's not cold anymore - so it will need a recharge. the motor is better then new - the compression and power is unbelievable. this is just one nice car that to me is better than an eliminator. has all the options you see with the factory 390. Factory disk brakes, ll the gauges, nbsp;the underneath is great (still has original undercoating) - please look at the pictures. Body is great. Interior is awesome - it's just a nice car that I'm sure if you did a marti report is very unique and rare.
I do not want to trade as I have too many cars. Any questions please ask - I am going to have one of my kids help me do a you tube video so it can be heard running. I will call it eds1968xr7 so it can be found - if they allow me to do the link on here it will be listed.

On Oct-26-15 at 07:00:22 PDT, eller added the following information:the VIN #listed is for the firebird convertible I sold - it does not let me change it - please look at the last picture of the door tag - the VIN # is 8F93X587918 - I just thought as I am writing this it shows in the title pictures I posted anyway. RI is a non title state so you get my current registration and a notorized bill of sale - your state or country will issue you a title. if you are shipping to another country this is good enough for the port - but it's also a good idea to print from the RI website that RI is a non title state for vehicles older 25 years.
the car is currently registered to me and you have to take my current registration - any questions just ask - thanks
