Oldsmobile Cutlass 1968 Description
This is a 1968 Olds 442 Tribute convertible. It was a complete frame off restoration built to look as close to a real 442 as possible while providing the comforts of new technology such as a full Hotchkis suspension, turbo 400 transmission, and 4 wheel disk brakes. The engine is a rebuilt 455 bored 30 over to about a 467. No expense was spared to make sure body and panels are clean, straight, and no rust. Frame was stripped and repainted. The top and glass are new as well. The wiring and plumbing for the top is in the car but no motor. I don't drive it much with the top up so I didn't bother hooking up a motor. The paint and body is darn near perfect. I also added an auxillary cooling fan for added insurance. The steering wheel horn button doesn't work but i have a manual button installed. The door panel on the driver's side is a tad too long and rubs when closed so it could use a slight trim and trim and reupholster. Other than those three easy items, the car is in great shape and ready to go. It wins car shows all the time and is a favorite everywhere. The best award was during the Austin leg of the 2016 Power Tour where American Racing awarded it the best car with American Racing wheels. I am an upfront and honest seller, check my feedback. It's a favorite everywhere I go but its time to move on to a different vehicle. I have receipts for $22,000+ and its not all of them or the price of the car itself. Please feel free to ask question, you will not be disappointed.
