Car does run and drive, but needs to be restored. Non factory ac car and I think was a 350/350 car originally. the factory paint color looks like it was gold, and from what I can tell came out of California.
The body is in epoxy primer, has some dents in passenger side where it looks like it side swiped something I have included them in the pictures.. The roof has been sand blasted to remove the rust that was under the vinyl top and epoxy primed as well. There are some spots from the vinyl top that rusted through but not major, I have included pics of the major areas. The floor and frame are in excellent condition with some surface rust in a few places but nothing major. Unfortunately someone removed the drip edges on the roof and they were welded up I have also included pics of that as well.
The interior would need to be redone but most of the parts are there, most parts that was disassembled on the interior or car is now in the trunk or back seat. The dash is in good shape and the gauges appear to be working even the tac. The factory head liner is still in the car, the rear windows are removed but in boxes in the the trunk. Most of the trim and parts that have been removed from the car are in the trunk or back seat including the factory radio.
The car does have a new painless wiring harness that works but probably would need tiding up.
Some other new parts that come with the car:
-glove box insert
-tail light covers
-washer fluid bottle
-trunk lock
-misc rubber/plastic parts
The engine:
When I got the car I was told it had a rebuilt engine that did not run due to carb issues. I got it running and it had a spun rod bearing, after I disassembled it looked like someone put junk rockers and pushrods on a new motor which let to too much oil to the top due to excessive rocker clearance and starved the bottom end which caused the failure. However the bore was like new and it did have some nice parts installed.
I re honed the cylinders, put new cam bearings in, had a different crank turned and had the rods resized with arp bolts. New rings and new oil pump as well.
-fresh turned crank 20/30 with clevite rod and mains and resized rods with arp bolts done by Universal machine
-.030 bore with cast pistons
-Edelborck performer plus cam and lifters, double row timing chain, new pushrods, and comp cams hd long slot rockers, new fuel pump eccentric
-Cylinder heads are fresh from Cylinder heads exclusive had all new valves, springs, harden exhaust seats installed and valve job
-Edelbrock performer intake and carb
-HEI distributor
400 transmission, I don't know the exact condition, it looks clean and the fluid is pink. I have only drove it around the block and it did shift so I assume it is in working order.
I did notice a power steering leak after I got the car running so you would probably have to reseal or replace a few parts.
I do have receipts for the machine work on the crank rods/ and cylinder heads. I have misplaced the receipt for the parts but I bought most of them from my machinist and can get one if needed.
This car would make a nice driver car and you have a nice start. Selling due to having too many projects.
Inspection and test drives are welcome and encouraged, I want you to know exactly what you are getting. A $200 deposit on pay pal is required and is non refundable, the remainder of the sale can be paid in cash upon pick up or by a cashiers check that is sent in the mail. If a cashiers check is sent I will only allow the car to ship after it has cleared in my account.
Thanks for looking.
