Oldsmobile Other 19370000 Description

UP FOR AUCTION WE HAVE THIS INCREDIBLE BARN FIND. WOW -- TAKE A LOOK AT THIS GEM . THIS TRULY A SPECIAL FIND . THIS IS THE L37 MODELWITH THE STRAIGHT EIGHT ENGINE . ONLY A LITTLE OVER 40,000 OF THESE WERE EVER MADE . WHAT A GREAT CLASSIC THIS ONE IS . A RARE CAR LIKE THIS IS FAR AND FEW BETWEEN AND WILL ONLY GO UP IN VALUE . I HAVE THE COMPLETE REGISTRATION RECORDS OF THIS CAR SINCE IT WAS PICKED UP AT THE DEALER SHIP ON AUGUST 24,1937 IN MILWAUKE, WISCONSIN . I ALSO HAVE A CURRENT TITLE IN MY NAME . I WILL NOW DISCRIBE THE CONDITION OF THIS CAR AS TO WHAT I SEE DURING MYINSPECTION . I AM SELLING THIS CAR AS ( NEEDING RESTORATION IN AS IS CONDITION ) BUT IT CAN BE USED IN ITS CURRENT CONDITION WITH SOME REPAIRS AND UP DATES.THE MAIN THING THIS CAR NEEDS IS A PAINT JOB .THIS CAR MUST HAVE SPENT ITS LIFE INDOORS BECAUSE IT IS ROCK SOLID FROM END TO END EXCEPT FOR A VERY SMALL SPOT ON EACH REAR FENDER . THE FLOORS ARE EXCELLENT FROM FRONT TO REAR . THE TRUNK FLOOR IS EXCELLENT AS WELL . DOORS ARE VERY SOLID WITH WHAT APPEARS TO BE ONLY SURFACE RUST ON THE LOWER LIP EDGE . ALL GLASS IS GOOD AND VERY USABLE WITH NO FOGGING AREAS . INTERIOR IS VERY USABLE THE WAY IT CURRENTLY IS BUT IT DOES HAVE A FEW SMALL AREASTHAT COULD USE REPAIR .ALL DASH GAUGES ARE REALLY IN NICE CONDITION . THE SPEEDOMETER SAYS 42,262 MILES WHICH I IS PROBABLY ORIGINAL MILES . AS TO THE ENGINE--- THE ENGINE SEAMS TO RUN VERY NICE .WHEN I FIRST GOT THIS CA, HE MOTOR WOULD NOT TURN OVER SO I PULLED THE HEAD OFF . I WAS EXPECTING TO FIND RUSTY CYLINDER WALLS BUT THATS NOT WHAT I FOUND .TO MY SURPRIS, HE INSIDE OF THIS MOTOR WAS LIKE NEW .IT DID HAVE TWO STUCK VALVES SO I FREED THEM UP .I THEN ORDRED A NEW HEAD GASKET AND PUT IT BACK TOGETHER . IT RUNS EXCELLENT .I PUT NEW SPARK PLUG WIRES ON IT AND STRAPPED A NEWCOIL ON IT TO GET IT RUNNING . I LEFT ALL THE ORIGINAL PARTS ON THE ENGINE EXCEPT FOR THE JUNK SPARK PLUG WIRES .IT HAS A LITTLE BIT OF LIFTER NOISE BUT NOTHING BAD . ALL IGNITION PARTS ARE FINE . GAS TANK IS FINE .THE GAS IN THE TANK SMELLS OK AND IS PROBABLY USABLEBUT SHOULD BE DRAINED . I BY PASSED THE TANKAND GAS LINE AT THE FUEL PUMP TO GET IT RUNNING AGAIN . ALS, THERE IS A SLOW ANTI FREEZE LEAK UNDER THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE WATER PUMP . AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE PICTURE, OME ONE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON THOSE LOVELY WHITE WALL TIRES .THEY ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION .THIS CAR APPEARS TO HAVE ALL ITS ORIGINAL PARTS AND I DON"T SEE ANYTHING MISSING . I ALSO HAVE THE IGNITION AND TRUNK KEYS FOR THIS CAR . AS TO PAYMENT FOR THIS CA, I PREFERE A BANK WIRE MONEY TRANSFER OF 7,500 AT THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION AND THE REST WHEN YOU PICK UP THE CAR . ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BID . DAN 608) 963-0090 .
