Plymouth Barracuda 1970 Description
Relisting - There are a lot of dishonest people in the world. I believe in honesty and being up front.I received an email from someone who claims he owned this car and said it is not numbers matching motor or trans. Claims it was a crate motor and they engraved the numbers. The person I purchased it from said it was. So with this new information I decided to relist.Pictures of the stamp are included. You know what I know.
I've owned this car for about 2 years. I will be a descriptive as I can.
This car runs and drives very well. I don'thesitate driving it 300 miles to attend a car show. It takes a minute to get started but once it is warmed up it starts and shuts off very well.I've never experienced any overheating or any mechanicalfailures. The onlything I have done to was rebuilt thecarburetor and replaced the fuel tank, other than that I just drove it.
Here is what I am aware of what is wrongwith he car. I do not know if the car has ever been restored so naturally the car isn't perfect. The onlygaugethat works is the speedometer. There are a couple of cracksin the dash pad. There is a couple of tears in the headliner and the back seat. It is missing the radio.
Mechanically speaking it runs great and Iwould say it could be a daily driver. It has the numbers matching motor. It is missing the transmission kick down lever, but other than that it runs and drives great.Thetail lights and blinkersdon't come on as they should. The lights themselves work. I was told the headlights switch is bad or there may be a short.
The paint does have some chips init. I do not know when the last time it was painted, but it is its original color. There is some surface rust, but I cannot find and cancer spotsanywhere.
Since I have only owned this car for a couple of years I don't have the entire backstory. I cannot tell whether or not it has ever been thru a restoration. It looks pretty original to me.I think this is a great car that deserves a goodowner. It would be a greatcandidate to restore, drive, or drive and restore.
Please send me an email with your information and I will be happy to send more pictures, texts, or video, or answer an other questions.I've tried to be a descriptive as I could and not leave anything out. So any sell will be final. Send your mechanic if you prefer before bidding.
The car isalso for sale locally so I retain the right to end this auction at mydiscretion.I have the build sheet and the title is clear and in my namge
