Plymouth Fury 1965 Description
Up for auction is a very nice Barn Find (actually machine shed find) 1965 PLYMOUTH SPORT FURY with a factory numbers 383 four barrel, 4 speed manual A833 transmission and 8 3/4 rear with 3.55 ratio. This car has been in dry storage in a machine shed for over 16 years and is just now recently coming out to see the light of day again. To answer any questions ahead of time, YES i do have the CLEAN and CLEAR Virginia title in hand and YES the car is currently running and driving. This car is a true 2 owner car and the original owner is still alive and is still living in Southern Virginia where the car originated from. One piece of coolness to the history of the car is that the original owner was in the Army in Radio Communications and when he got the car, one of the first things he did was inscribe his Radio call sign into the top of the console behind the shifter. It is still there and very cool to see. To start off this car has NO rust in it at all. It is a true survivor being tucked away all these years and not being abused by the harsh weathers. It was recently brought back to life with some fresh fluid changes and a good hot battery. It did have a Brand New exhaust installed front to back around the year 1999 right before it got parked and it still is like brand new today. It sounds great like an ole big block should. Everything works on the car, All interior and exterior lights, Wipers, and even the parking brake. It drives super nice, Stops very well, and has plenty of muscle. All four tires hold air and drive fine but i do recommend replacing them due to the age and the dryrot factor. This car was apparently built in 1965 to be a sleeper of sorts because is was ordered without any power steering, without power brakes and without A/C. Just 4 barrel big block power, a hand shaker transmission and no other frills. A true gentlemans muscle car. I have the original fender skirts that came on the car that go with it as well. I am selling this car as in and with NOOO RESERVE! The highest bid gets this rarity. I am starting the opening bid price stupid low for a car of this sorts so that everyone can have a chance at it. Good luck finding any other Big Block, Black interior, Four Speed, RUST FREE 2 door Mopar for anywhere near the price that this one is.
