Plymouth Other 1962 Description

1962 Plymouth Savoy with a 426 Max Wedge engine. This car has been in my father's private collection for over 15 years. Its been a fun car, ut its just time to move on to something else. The car has a unique history to be told if it could talk. While I'd assume it's not an original max wedge car(the 426 came out in 63, ot 62) I do believe the 426 has been in the car for YEARS, aybe a dealer install? When we got the car, t has some VERY old and rust factory style 3" exhaust with cut outs to run open exhaust. A piece common to the max wedge cars. It was rusted out beyond repair but we replaced as close as possible to the original style. It also appears at one time that the car had fender well headers? Probably drag raced obviously? The third unique thing is the factory certified speedometer, rdered to be a police car? Odd for a two door, ike I said, f this car could talk! But here is what I do know. The car is white in color, ut was original a blue color. There is a spot of or two where the white has chipped off and blue is noticeable. I'd rate the paint a 7 out of 10, ts a nice driver quality car. The bumpers are good, but not perfect, gain driver quality. Over all the car is very solid, here are one or two small rust bubbles way down on the bottom, ardly visible from the top of the car. I've tried to show them in the photos best I could. The car has new carpet and factory style seat covers. The door panels are original and show the normal wear you would expect. The car is radio delete and features a push button automatic shifter. The headliner has one small tear in it as shown pictures. The car has a new aluminum radiator, resh tune up and the cars recently rebuilt. It fires right up, dles great and is very mild mannered for the motor that it is. But as soon as you hit the gas you know this is a serious performer. It will roast the back tires off at 1/2 throttle. With some sticky tires, his would be a seriously fast ride. We haven't put a ton of miles on the car but we have driven it to several local cruise nights and shows over the past years that we have had it. It drives and runs out nice, uns cool with the big aluminum radiator in it. Car has some generic black air cleaners on it right now, e were having trouble with air flow out of the other ones. But the factory air cleaner lids come with the car as pictured. Feel free to come inspect this car before bidding, ne person's idea of good may be different from anothers.
