Plymouth Barracuda 1968 Description

This 1968 Plymouth Barracuda convertible shows 98K miles and I expect that is correct. I bought it from a long-term southern owner and this car is amazing as there is only one very tiny speck of rust behind the rear wheels.Otherwise rust free as shown in the last pictures. Rust free trunk as shown. It is an extremely solid and reliable car. I would truly have no qualms about driving it on a cross-county trip. It starts and runs great every time. Smooth shifting of gears effortless steering and everything works except the emergency blinker. Very comfortable car that glides over bumps with ease. No rattles shakes or shimmies. No wierd noises. Great oil pressure cooling and charging as shown in the final picture of the gauges taken on a hot day with the motor running. Power convertible top comes and goes down confidently on its own--needs no help from the driver. New parts include: BF Goodrich tires battery 4 shocks water pump thermostat carpet mats OEM radio upgraded to digital w/MP3. lower dash pads speedo cable Full tune up with new trans filter fluids. I had a mechanic do a compression check and the readings were reported as 140 145 145 150 on one side and 150 145 150 145 on the other. These are fairly rare cars only 1756 V8 convertible Barracudas were made in 1968. Use the VIN decoder and you will see that this car is a true V8 318 c.i. by the title. It came with a 2 barrel now has a 4. Original color was gold repainted red many years ago. This car has tremendous upside potential. Here is a rust-free car that is a good candidate for a showcar paint job some day. Now it is a reliable nice-looking driver that is a pleasure to enjoy. If you want to fly to Charleston West Virginia to see the car I will pick you up at the airport in the car. I have arrangement made where we can put it on a lift and you can spend all the time you need examining it.
