Plymouth Barracuda 1972 Description

1972 340 Plymouth 'Cuda. A True BS23 Cuda, X9 Black. Good, lmost excellent condition. BODY: Very solid and virtually rust free from what I see. Repainted once, ut in the original color. Floors are original and in great shape. The fenders and quarters appear to be the originals and in great shape. The trunk pan has been replaced. Left front fender had some very minor body work done to it near the headlight area, ut it looks great, nd still appears to be the original fender. No evidence of any major body damage in it's life. Body and interior are a Hagerty and Hemmings level 3 condition, uch closer to a 2 than a 4. INTERIOR: White, ith black dash as original. The dash is in very good shape. Rally cluster is in good shape. The carpet is new, nd the front seats are redone as original. Back seats are in great shape and appear to be original. Headliner is new, ut the piller headliner material is original, n good shape, ut could use a cleaning. Interior door panels are in great shape, ut not perfect. ENGINE: Fresh professionally done rebuild. Original numbers matching340 block, ith Edelbrock heads, delbrock AFB carb, delbrock Air Gap intake. Mopar ignition. Alternator, tarter, adiator, ater pump are all new. New factory fan shroud added recently. Engine has about 2000 miles on it. Original numbers matching block. I'm told it's got a Scat crank (I believe it is stroked to larger than 340 since Scat doesn't make a 340 stock stroke crank off the shelf unless it's a custom order) Uknown cam grind and unknown compression ratio, ut it idles very aggressively and does run on 91 octane without ping. Approximately 450 HP. Compression is probably in the 9.5 to 10.5 range. The rebuilder really took pride in his work. Doesn't over heat. Very fast car. SUSPENSION: Good shape but mostly original. REAREND: 8 3/4, ebuilt with a new Auburn limited slip, ew sealed (green) axle bearings, ll new diff bearings, nd housing powder coated in factory correct semi gloss black, ew Richmond 3.55 gears. Upgraded to large U-joints and rebuilt driveshaft. BRAKES: Power discs up front, nd rear drums. Good shape and work great! TRANSMISSION: The 904 was replaced/upgraded with a rebuilt 727, robably at the same time as the engine, nd feels like it has a shift kit. Very firm shifts, ut not too firm. It's painted black though, o it might be a TCI or summit trans, tc. High stall torque converter. Heavy duty flex plate. Things that aren't perfect: Original AM/FM radio looks great but doesn't work. Factory AC car, ut condenser and compressor are currently missing. Windshield washer doesn't work, ut the wipers work great. Heater needs a new cable for the heat to work. Clock is there, ut doesn't work. Dust shield is missing at the flex plate. Horn is currently disconnected, ue to dry/worn steering column bearings allowing the horn to make contact during turns. Steering still feels good though and works good and safe, he bearing just sound slightly dry/worn. Most weatherstripping is new, ut door window weatherstrips are dried up. I will not ship or deliver. Buyer must arrange for shipping if needed. I've had my fun with this car and can cross this off my bucket list. It's time to sell her to someone that will care for it like I did. Car is being sold in as is condition, ith no warranty implied. This is a very clean, olid, nd nice car! I must receive $500 within 24 hours of winning bid, nd payment in full due within 7 days. I accept the following payment methods in order of preference: PayPal. Cash payment in person. Certifiedcheck (check may require several days for bank to verify funds before transferring title).
