Plymouth Barracuda 1970 Description

This little beauty is the real deal. A numbers-matching AAR 'Cuda in beautiful Lemon Twist with the correct (and real) organisol flat black hood, AAR strobe stripe, black vinyl interior and a couple of rare options. There are 7 places on an AAR where the numbers should match and this car has 6 of them, including the matching TA engine block. The Torqueflite transmission is a factory warranty replacement.

The car is in excellent show condition with near-perfect paint, chrome and interior. It matches its build sheet and data plate with 2 exceptions: The original rear end was a 3.55:1 and it has been replaced with a 4.10:1 gear. And the Goodyear Polyglas GT front tires are F60-15whereas the car was built with E60-15 tires.

The battery has been replaced with a correct repro battery since the pictures were taken, and the new battery came with green caps instead of yellow. The supplier has promised to get the yellow caps to me, but they have not arrived yet. If I don't have them when the car leaves here, I will send them to the new owner as soon as they arrive.

The car has a couple of very rare options on it, for an AAR: it has fender-mounted turn signal indicators, and it has an AM radio with 8-track tape player. The radio does not work and I've never tried the player. It also has the options that are most desirable: console, Rally dash and dual outside mirrors.

The colour is the very desirable Lemon Twist yellow, nicely set off by the black AAR strobe stripe and hood. There is no vinyl roof (thank goodness!!!!).

This vehicle is as nice underneath as it is on top. Check the pictures. In the 4 years I have owned it, I have never driven it on a wet road.

Includes many documents including original near-mint owner's manual, original warranty registration, warranty transfer to 2nd owner in 1974, 2 build sheets (photocopies?)

This car is very nice, and the items needed to make it near-perfect areeasy to address. And the car is priced accordingly, WELL-below the price of a near-perfect numbers matching AAR. In fact, the current low value of the Canadian dollar enable me to list this car with a very moderate reserve.

Worried about importing a car from Canada? Don't be! This car was built and sold new in the U.S.A., so importing is easy (easier than it was for me to bring it into Canada from Texas in 2011). For more information go to:

Inspections are welcome, by buyers or appraisers. (But the car will not be allowed out onto wet roads!)
