SWEET CAR TO ENJOY AS-IS OR RESTORE TO THE NEXT LEVEL OR HOW YOU LIKE
This is a unique and special car! It was located a few years ago in a small garage in
the Pocono Mountains in PA. It was stored there and was owned by the second owner who had known the car since it was nearly new.
Early on the original owner had lived nearby him and he would see the car from time to time and stop by to chat with the owne, and occasionally ask to buy it.
This went on for year, and then finally one day he was able to buy it from him. By the time the original owner was ready to sel, the car it had only accumulated @ 24K miles and the paint and body was starting to show its age a bit . (see"before" pic).
The car was stored most of the tim, and was not driven a whole lot eve, so the mileage stayed
low. The interior was in very good original conditio, and it is still almost all original. The engine and trans were well maintaine, and had never been out of the ca, and still have not been out of the car. The paint was starting to fad, and a little bit of rust had starte, mostly down low in the quarter, and the fuel system was starting to gum up.
When the second owner
bought it in the early '90's he put it in his garage with the hopes to revive i, and drive i, some day, but there it sat until 2012 ! @ 22 more years of non use !
The second owner was ready to let it go because he could see that he was never going to finish his plans to make it a nice driver again.
It was then bought and sold almost immediately, to it's third real owner.
Over the next year or so the new owner had it repainted on the outside onl, and installed brand new bumpers, tires, shocks, dual exhaust system, brakes, tuned it u, and made a nice driver out if it. He enjoyed it and took it on local cruises over the last couple of years. Recently he just decided that it was time to let it go. I bought i, shipped it here to Fl. and registered it to drive. And here it is !
It is an ** ALL NUMBERS MATCHING ** original 383 HP four barre, with the heavy duty 727 automatic trans, power steerin, 3.54 high performance posi axle package car, black out performance hood treatmen, light packag, hood turn signal indicator, AM radio, heavy duty 26 inch radiator cooling .All lights and gauges and radio are working except the temp gauge . It is ( PP1 Re, with a factory Silver and Black original interior. ) All seats and door panels and headliner and even carpet is original .It has Rocker moldings as ordered on the build shee, and no decor package ordere, so no chrome tail pane, or b pillar molding . It is a very good looking car.
The factory original engine and transmission have never been out of the ca, and operate very good as they did back in the day! They both should be pulled to get all new seals gasket, etc. and repaint and detail the motor area nicely. The motor has great compression and appears all stock and original. all accessories on motor wor, but could be cleaned and detailed easily to stop leaks and improve looks under the hood . The trunk floor is rust fre, and all original and mostly original paint. The interior is nearly all original still! The metal and springs in the seats are in great shape . The ash tray and lighter have never been used, the glove box liner is origina, the dash pad is perfect, and the headliner is still tight and nice . The carpet is nice but showing its age. It's all in very good condition. Legendary interiors offers the exact correct seat cover, door panel, headliner etc. if you want them to be like new again.
The body was blocked out to be nearly perfectly straigh, and the little lower rust ithad in the quarters was metal repaired and now looks great . The underside is mostly rust free and super clean. There is minor rust underneath in a few places that could be easily fixed no, or if and when you repaint it . There is no rust in the a or b pillars area, and the panel between the trunk and rear window and all around the front and rear windows is rust free and in great shape . All the glass is very good and the car never had a vinyl roof .Please Call with any question, for honest answer, or for any more pictures or info.
The car was repainte, on the outside onl, with single stage Re, and looks very nice ! It is a nice drive, not a show car. It rides on the same vintage American Racing slotted mag wheels that were on it from back in the '60's with newer tires. The wheels have been cleaned up nicely. It also comes with a brand new washer bottle for under the hood, and I have the original bumpers, original master cylinde, and the original distributor. Also included is the original broadcast shee, the original fender ta, the original certi-card still in the original owners manual and a copy of the second owners title showing actual mileage.
Cars like this are very hard to find. . low mileag, first yea, ORIGINAL ROADRUNNE, in a great color combinatio, nice option, HP axle packag, and loads of documentatio, makes it investment worthy. It is super fun to drive .
A nice combination of originalit, and restoration . The car needs new sill plate, and emergency brake cable, easy fix .
This nice car is soli, sweet, and ready for whatever you want to do next . Needs nothing to drive and enjoy right no, but there is lots that could be done to easily improve i, and it is worthy of it !
