Plymouth Road Runner 1969 Description

Up for auction is my fathers 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner that has a BUILT 440, backed up by a 5 speed Tremec transmission. The car has the 6 pack carb package that works great. The car has been owned by my father for many years and he has decided to part with it. The car was originally a 383 car but, the built 440 was transplanted several years ago. The HP is right around 475, according to some of the paperwork from the rebuild. The engine breathes through headers that leads back to 3" exhaust. The car has P/S, and manual brakes. The car was just recently painted, and the color is Chrome Yellow with some pearl in it. It was a multi stage paint job but, it looks great but, it's not perfect and did not cost $10,000. The car presents very well though. The interior sports custom seats with the Mopar logo and Roadrunner embroidered into them. The car runs and drive great, and she will snap your neck off the line. She is not perfect by any means but, she is a very nice driver quality car.
The underside of the car is very solid overall, I did see some rust in the lower inside trunk drop pan that meets up with the lower quarter panel on the passenger side. It's not to bad and I have a picture of it. The driver side looks great. There is a little rust in the trunk pan too, and I have included a picture of that also. Inside the car the headliner is ok with a little sagging near the sail panels. The door panels are new, the carpet is new but, it was not trimmed correctly and will need to be replaced. My dad left it to tight when he trimmed it so it stretched to tight near the gas pedal and he had to cut it, and ruin the new carpet. The frontseats are out of a late model car but, they were professionally re-upholstered to match the interior. The gauges all work, except the speedo is disconnected, the plastic clip on the back broke. The speedo does work though. CD player works good, and speakers are in good shape too.
Under the hood the car has a aluminum radiator, and a dress up kit. The engine has a few leaks under there, rear main seal being one of them. My dad puts a metal drip tray under it. I believe it has a timing cover leak also, as I could see some wetness around that area. The engine GREAT, and starts right up everytime! No smoking or knocking at all. The car drives great, and stops straight! It could use some new bushing and rubber up in the front end though, the heat here dries them out pretty quickly. The car also has electronic ignition, so no points to mess with! The tires are in good shape overall, and the rims look great too.
I have more picture of the car but, I was only able to use 24. So, if you need any more please email me and I will try to accommodate your request.
I tried to be as honest as possible about the car but, please feel free to email me any questions and I will try to answer them asap. This is a very nice driver quality car, not perfect but, pretty darn nice. The car is being sold "AS IS" due to it's age with no warranties. Please feel free to inspect the car BEFORE the auction ends. There is a $500 NON REFUNDABLE deposit due within 24 hours of the auction ending! The car is being offered for sale locally, and I may end the auction at anytime. The car must be picked up within 2 weeks of the auction ending.
