Plymouth Barracuda 1970 Description

THIS 70 CUDA IS STILL DRESSED IN ITS ORIGINAL, NEVER BEEN REPAINTED GREEN PAINT. ITS AMAZING ! IT ALSO NEVER HAD A RUST HOLE IN THE IDAHO BODY. IT CAME FACTORY WITH A 34, 3 SPEED MANUAL TRANS, 323 POSI, POWER STEERING AND THE RALLIES YOU SEE ON IT. SHE RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. SUPER TIGHT SHIFTER AND STEERING. REALLY NICE LINE, TOO. LAST OWNER CLAIMS THE 52000 MILES ON OD IS TRUE BUT THE TITLE HAS NO MILES AND BY HOW TIGHT THINGS ARE MOST WOULD AGREE ON 52K MILES. TRANS SHIFT HAS NO PLAY. IT WAS ONE FAMILY OWNED UNTIL DEALER BOUGHT IT.

I FIRST THOUGHT THE V TOP WAS REMOVED AND THEN PAINTED BUT THE FENDER TAG CALLS OUT DARK GREEN PAINTED ROOF (RARE)AND ITS NEVER BEEN REPAINTED. FENDER TAG ALSO SAYS IT CAME WITH SIDE BODYSTRIPE AND MOLDING. ITS HARD TO SEE STRIPE IN PHOTOS BUT ITS THERE AROUND THE SIDE MOLDING. THE PAINT HAS A LOT OF NICKS AND SCRATCHES BUT TO BE ORIGNAL AND THIS NICE IS A GREAT FIND. I WOULDNT REPAINT. THERE ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE.IT HAS HAD SOME UP DATING LIKE THE FRONT AND REAR VALANCE HAS BEEN REPAINTED AND THE TRUNK FLOOR. THE UNDERBODY WAS PAINTED BLACK. THE REAREND WAS MARKED IN FACTORY TYPE MARKINGS. THE ENGINE WAS PAINTED NICELY AND THE TRANS WAS CLEANED. THEY BOUGHT AN ENTIRE MOPAR 340 EXHAUST WITH NEW TIPS THAT STILL HAS TAGS SHOWING STOCK 340 FIT AND THE MUFFLERS HAVE THE CHRYSLER PENANT AND PART#. THEY ALSO BOUGHT NEW ALTERNATOR, NEW REGULATOR, NEW WIPER MOTOR AND NEW BF GOODRICH TIRES. ALL ABOUT 1 YR AGO.

THE INTERIOR HAS NO RIPS. THE FRONT SEATS HAVE BEEN RECOVERED AND NEW CARPET ADDED. THE REST ORIGINAL. NO CRACKS IN DASH PAD. THE 8 TRACK LIGHTS UP. SOME HOW THE FLAP DOOR IS MISSING. ALL LIGHTS AND STUFF WORK EXCEPT AM RADIO. DOORS WORK GREAT AND WINDOWS WORK. NO CHIPPED GLASS, ITS ALL GOOD.

NOW FOR ENGINE. IT HAS A WARRANTY BLOCK THAT HAS A TAG RIVITED TO IT WITH A # 0289 THAT SHOULD MEAN IT WAS CHANGED ON SEPT. 28TH 1970. IT HAS DATE CORRECT 4 BBL CARB AND INTAKE. THE HEADS AND EXHAUT MANIFOLDS SHOULD BE ORIGINAL, TOO. VIN IS STAMPED ON THE TRANS AND A 3.23 TAG IS ON THE 8 3/4 REAREND. ITS TO BAD NOT TOTALLY # MATCHING BUT REALLY CLOSE.THIS IS A GREAT SURVIVOR JUST UNDER 100%. SHE IS READY TO DRIVE OR PUT BACK IN STORAGE FOR A FEW MORE YEARS. ITS SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT. IT WAS FUN FIGURING OUT THE CAR IS A REAL SOLID ORIGINAL PAINT CAR IN THE RARE 2 TONE AND RARE 3 SPEED.
