Plymouth Other 1932 Description
1932 Plymouth coupeUp for sale is my 32 coupe it has been in the same family since bought new in 1932. As the story goes it was bought by the great grand father new in 32"and was used as sole transportation for the family to get around in and when the great grand father passed away in 1961it was left to the grand father who in the seventy's had the seat and door panels redone and also had it painted to color that it is now. It was originally a dark blueish green so there has been a color change. So after he had the paint work done and the seat and door panels done he pretty much just drove it in parades in the town where he lived so it did not see much use over the last 50 plus years and when he passed it was left to his grand son as he did not have any sons just daughters so any way the grand son could not get it running as it has sat for quite some time and he really didn't have a lot of interest in the car so he sold it to me. Since I have had it I replaced the fuel pump with a nos pump filed the points and boom it was running. Now all the brakes were done with new wheel cylinders, brake shoes and new lines and maybe at some point a new master cylinder so the brakes work as well as they did in 1932.As far as running it has about 25-30 lbs of oil pressure according to the gaugeand runs around 185-190 according to my infrared thermometer(temp gauge is not working) it does run and does not smoke but it is running on old old gas and it probably needs the carb rebuilt but I drove it down the road and it drives pretty well for a car that is 83 years old. As you can see by the pictures the body is pretty solid with there only being a little rust through on the the panel that covers the gas tank in between the trunk and bumper. This is a car that you could easily keep original or it would make a killer street rod witch ever you may preffer to do with the car.
I do have a clean and clearMichigan title from 1961 for this car so no worry's there and I forgot to add the wind shield has a crack and will need to be replaced butif you have any questions about the car you can contact me at 231-206-5258 and my name is Kirk.
