Plymouth Barracuda 1967 Description

1967 “ADRENALINE” Barracuda

You are bidding on a 1967 Formula S Barracuda which was purchased as a seasoned race car and then was used for the feature film “Adrenaline” starring John Schneider released in 2015.

The vehicle is a driving racecar in very good condition. However this car is by no means a show car and has expected wear and imperfections. It is a very nice full tube chassis racecar loaded with great parts and is listed well below what has been invested. The car has fiberglass doors, fenders, hood, decklid, bumpers, all windows are polycarbonite. The car has a strut front end with Wilwood disc brakes and rack and pinion steering. The powerplant is a 1968 440 built by Hensly performance. The engine features Arias Flat top pistons, Manley steel rods, and a forged Chrysler crankshaft. The valve train comprises of a Comp cams solid lifter cam .567 Int .576 Ex Lift with a duration of 264 Int 270 Ex @ .050. Trend custom length pushrods are driven by Hughes Roller Rockers. A pair of Edelbrock Victor Aluminum heads with ARP head studs, topped off with a Victor intake and a single 1050 Holley Quick Fuel Dominator, fed by a Holley Volumax electric pump supplying the fuel from a Jaz aluminum fuel cell. The ignition is an MSD 7AL-3, Billet distributor, Pro power coil, and 8mm plugwires. A Melling High volume oil pump with a Milodon single line system with swinging pick-up and 10 quart oil pan provides the lubrication. The engine is mounted to the chassis on Aluminum motor plates. The exhaust exits through custom 2” headers. The cooling system comprises of an aluminum radiator with electric fan and waterpump. A 727 Transmission with a Turbo Action 4800 stall converter, Turbo action reverse pattern manual valvebody with trans. brake, and Turbo action shifter (with air solenoid). Two yellow top Optima batteries mounted in the trunk with 00 battery cable providing the cranking amps to a mini starter. The rear consists of Alston ladder bars, Aldan coil over shocks, wheelie bars affixed to a narrowed Dana 60 with a Strange spool, 35 spline axles, 4.10 gears and 11” rear drum brakes. Hoosier 32.0 X 14.5 X 15 drag slicks mounted on Cragar Drag Stars get the power to the pavement. The interior features Autometer tach, oil press, water temp, and fuel pressure gauges that round off the instrumentation. A Speedtech single stage 4150 plate nitrous system is included with two bottles tunable from 100-500HP . The system was never used and was partially installed for cosmetic purposes for the film “Adrenaline” visit adrenalinethemovie.com.
