Plymouth Other 1952 Description

Up for a NO RESERVE Auction is a really cool 1952 Plymouth Cranbrook. This is a super cool car, everyone in the neighborhood always wants to check it out and take it for a ride. I bought her as a project about a year ago, and she is nearly complete. The car runs, stops, shifts good. I can provide you with a video that shows now nice the original motor runs. Unfortunately I lost some storage room, I have to find her a new home. Please read the entire listing before bidding. By bidding you agree to the terms of this sale. Good luck!

Body

The body is in good condition. The frame is excellent, no sign of any rust or accident damage. There is a small amount of rust where the body is bolted to the frame, I personally did't worry about it. The PO has changed out the floors, so they are solid now. The bottom of the car is nice and clean. The paint is gray, nice and shiny. Many of the large chrome pieces (bumpers, guards) etc have been professionally re-chromed and look awesome. Some smaller items, such as door handles are have not been re-chromed yet.

The car has a completely new professionally installed wiring harness, with factory correct coloring. Still 6V. All lights work. All 4 tires are new (GoodYear). All glass is good no cracks. The previous owner installed new rear leaf springs and rear wheel cylinders.

Engine

The engine and transmission were pulled from the car and pimped out. You will not find a car with an engine bay this clean at this price. Almost everything under the hood were professionally powder coated. New - not factory - radiator.

Oil pan was removed, engine was cleaned, gaskets were replaced. Carburetor was rebuilt professionally with new rebuild kit. Most of the hoses are brand new, so is the drive belt.

Interior

No tears on the seats, the front seat foam is brand new. The carpets (front and back) are custom made by a professional upholstery shop. Dash is in really nice condition, just installed a brand new temperature sender and temp gauge set (OEM). All knobs are nice and shiny.

Notes

The car is not showroom or tour ready. She is 95% complete with a few more things that will require attention. I know that the front brakes will need to be adjusted (the brakes work). The clutch slips a little when starting in 1st gear (I am not sure if needs a new disk or just needs to be cleaned up). But the car shifts gears smoothly.

I purchased a new fuel tank sender. The gauge in the dash has been tested, and works great. If I have time, I will install the new sender unit, if not, it will come with the car.

Again, the car is very clean, ready for a new home. The intake and exhaust manifolds have been professionally jet-hot coated, and just installed a brand new muffler and a set of side-exhaust pipes. The car sounds really really cool!

I described the car to the best of my knowledge. Please remember that you are purchasing a 60+ years old car. If I left out something that is material to you, please don't hesitate to ask.
