Plymouth Satellite 1971 Description
THIS LISTING IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION AND IT WILL BE SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER....1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus. However this is a N-code 383 4 bbl car in B-5 blue with TX9 Black bucket seat interior(but column shift). It also had the V6B Light Blue stripes. It is coded for M73 elastomeric bumpers and the 15" rallye wheels and RWL Goodyear Polyglas tires. It also is coded for the Hemi Suspension, firm ride shocks, 3.55 sure grip axle package. The car is a NON-RUNNING project car but has the factory fender tag and the original broadcast sheet. Texas title in my name. I have pictures of the car from the late 70's/early eighties that show the car with an aftermarket or dealer installed 2 piece vinyl top.I bought the car in 2014 from a guy who had owned it since 1978. It was last registered in 1983 according to the windshield inspection sticker. The car has been stored inside since the day I bought it. The engine will turn over by hand but I never tried to get it started. I planned a full restoration on the car. So I started collecting parts and those parts will go with the car!! The parts that will be included are, a front fender (drivers side I believe), trunk lid, extra side marker bezels, the correct 1971 BUCKET SEATS (some where along the line someone put GM buckets seats in it) AND THE CORRECT 1971 ONLY AIR CLEANER. I also have the correct valve cover breather (with the 3 nipples) and several Satellite Sebring emblems. The car will need patch panels on the quarter extensions, floor pans and possibly the trunk floor. However when was the last time you saw a FACTORY N code 383-4bbl, M73 rubber bumper SATELLITE SEBRING PLUS????
I do know where a brand new (still NEW IN A CRATE) reproduction front elastomeric bumper (or "eyebrow" as some call it) is, thatcan be purchased but it is not included in this auction. The bumper was reproduced by Gene Gregory at Alhambra Custom Service which has since retired from business.
This is a VERY UNUSUAL optioned car for a 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus. The only thing I can figure is someone wanted a Road Runner but for whatever reason, ordered it as a Satellite Sebring Plus.
