THIS CAR IS LOCATED IN MARIPOSA CALIFORNIA . 100 ADDITIONAL PICTURES *** This is a RARE 1965 Barracuda Formula “S” edition 2-Door Sport Coupe. This is a very nice car built in Los Angeles California. Google this car: 1965 Barracuda Formula “S”, there is a fair amount of info on this rare car. If you can make it to Mariposa, California in the next ten days you need to come and see and drive this car for yourself, you will not be disappointed. This 1966 Barracuda Formula “S” edition has the Original Rebuilt 273 CID 235 HP V8 motor in it with a 4-barrel carburetor and it is running very well. The motor still has its Original Valve Covers and a 440 Super Commando Air cleaner (the Original one was gone). Electronic Ignition was added to improve performance and reliability. If you know anything about these motors you know they are one of the best motors ever made and last forever. The 273 CID high compression engine (10 ½ to one) was rebuilt and punched out 30 over, both the engine and automatic transmission with a shift kit, have been rebuilt by a professional. It has the Original Floor Shifter and console. It is backed by the 8 3/4 sure-grip rear end with 323 gears. This car sounds Awesome with the new dual exhaust with a Flowmaster mufflers and correct chrome tips. Being the Formula S Edition it has the large factory Kelsey/Hayes front disk brakes. They are new and it stops and drives like it should. The Black Interior is original and had been re-upholstered, NICE Original front bucket seats, Nice Original rear bench seat, nice Original dash pad and gauge panel (all ORIGINAL gauges are working) except the Factory "S" model only Tachometer, nice Original door panels and a nice ORIGINAL steering wheel. This BEAUTY is nicely equipped, including Original Am Radio, factory retractable seat belts and Original remote driver’s chrome exterior mirror. The ODO shows 72,220 miles we were told were original miles, but actual miles are unknown. Just look at this thing though! This 1966 Barracuda Formula “S” edition is quite a deal and you will be surprised at the low reserve on this rare investment car. This Barracuda has good looks and awesome power as well and is a really fun to drive! I drove this around town and on the freeway and it ran great, it drove it 70 MPH on the freeway and had plenty of pedal left. Check out the Era “Mag” wheels with steel belted radial tires boy do they look Great on this car! They really give it that nostalgia Muscle Car look. These vehicles have an appreciative group of owners, any of which would be pleased to own this one. The suspension seems to be in good working order as well as the electric system. This 1965 Barracuda Formula “S” edition is a good investment opportunity and it is priced right and is a quality car! This vehicle is in sharp condition from top to bottom and from front to back. It will not disappoint someone looking for a good example of a sought after and hard to find collector automobile. The BEAUTIFUL Bright Red exterior paint on this vehicle is New and in GREAT condition as you can see in the pictures above and below with only a few small imperfections. The owner took the data plate off for paint and lost it. This is a West Coast car all its life and built in the LA plant. The interior is very nice in the factory Black color scheme. This vehicle is in good mechanical condition and it runs and drives very well. The vehicle is nice with respect to the overall cosmetic impression. I looked underneath and also included photos below.
