Plymouth Fury 1977 Description

This beautiful specimen of Mopar heritage has only 3959 miles, that's.... "Thirty nine hundred and fifty nine miles"...on this 40 year old Mopar! This was a one owner car until earlier this month. I bought it from the family of the deceased original owner. This car is a 1977 Plymouth Fury Base model 2 door hardtop. It is in incredible condition. Ready for the Mopar Nationals Survivor tent! And you don't have to spend over $100K!
From what the people told me, this car sat in an attached to their house garage, since new. Driven and started occasionally. Under 4000 miles in 40 years! This is a true survivor, all original car. 318 V8. Automatic Transmission Power steering and brakes and an AM FM Radio with rear speaker, vinyl top, Clock and factory installed body side moldings. Deluxe wheel covers on the original F78 15 inch tires. Same tire is in the trunk unused. I have the original window sticker.
As far as the mechanics go, the car starts, runs and will drive. Does need fine tuning on carb, and plugs etc. The brakes seem fine and the transmission shifts as it should. I've only driven it about a mile or so. All engine components appear to be factory original with the exception of the battery and oil.
The body of the car shows NO RUST! it was parked on a concrete floor in an attached to the house garage. There is surface rust underneath. As to be expected. No rust damage though. The paint...this is 40 year old factory paint to the best of my knowledge. This is late 70's
Mopar quality. There are runs in the paint in very few different spots mostly down low. The same runs that appear under the deck lid and hood. There is small dirt specs in the paint, the same that is under the deck lid and hood. The paint shines very nicely. Upon very close inspection you can see how un-perfect the quality it is. Remember, this is not a restored car. It is of factory quality. The family assured me that he never had any spray painting on the car what so ever. So any imperfections you may see is factory or dealer done prior to selling it in 1977.

The chrome is all in great shape. The trim around the windows and vinyl top is excellent. The bumpers look great with very few flaws. Glass is mint!
The interior is perfect. It has had a full rubber mat over the front and back since new. The carpet is amazing. The seats are just as nice. No staining or wear anywhere. The headliner perfect. Dash door panels etc all OUTSTANDING! This car smells new inside.
The trunk has the original spare and jack etc that has never been touched. Trunk mat excellent. The jack instructions are still glued to the bottom of the deck lid. There is undercoating spray on the walls.
The engine compartment shows all original equipment with, in my opinion, only a changed out battery, maybe plugs and wires and air filter? The thing about the engine compartment is the Armor Guard coated rust proofing system. Receipt from 1977 included. The idiots applied it throughout. This is an easy time consuming fix though. Mineral spirits on rag and it comes off. I took a bit off around the hood latch and it came of with ease. Just time consuming if you want to eliminate it all. Its been there since 1977 and I have the receipt so i'd leave it alone. Hose clamps and Mopar stamped items are previlent throughout.
To sum this car up...where are you going to find a 40 year old 4000 mile car.? This is an honest real true surviving American Automobile. Yes, I wish it were a Hemi Cuda of 6 pack Challenger, but it is what it is. And it is amazing! The car is not perfect. Nothing factory build was in those days. If you wanting a real untouched piece of American history, this is for you! If your real picky please send someone to see it for you or come see yourself. I suggest having the car trucked. The tires are old and no more miles should be put on this time capsule!
There is no COD! No pay pal either. I prefer bank wire transfer or cashiers check overnighted to me. The car will NOT leave my garage until funds clear.
