Plymouth Barracuda 1972 Description

1972 Barracudaoriginal 340 original 727 automatic transmission this car has had the same owner since 1987... I have title indicating this and the place he bought it from back in 87. This car was a great find and very solid…It was my intention to restore this for myself but another car of greater importance to me has come up.

So here are some of the details fender tag door tag, nd dash tag all there and match as seen in the pictures. Matching 340 with 727 transmission I believe the original carburetor and intake manifold as well according to the owner. I will try and verify stamped numbers on the block and transmission this is an AC car that can be driven right now!! car brakes well handles well starts right up but needs a paint job and other odds and ends in my opinion a full restoration to do the car justice. I believe only 1 repaint over the factory yellow looking at the door jams and inside fender wells. When I had the back seat out it still retained the steel tag on the underneath of the seat from the factory I did not see the build sheet. The owner would drive to car shows (has original battery) and about town every now and then car was kept in his garage out of the elements. Really the only spots I could find any rust was the radiator support not bad and the lower quarter has bubbling in the paint still feels solid the trunk has a couple of small holes close to the edge even has original jute pad all panels and underneath of the car and wheel wells look original and rust free. It looks like he had some surface rust around the car he told me he sprayed those spots to stop further issue. There is a couple small dents on the trunk lid and rear top quarter it looks like the car took more abuse being in his garage than on the street. (Scratches, cuffs marks, mall dents ) You can see a few spots bubbling under the roof vinyl but you can tell it is just surface rust if you replace the vinyl otherwise the vinyl looks really good.

He told me he recently had the transmission worked on and you can see newer parts on it. Slap stick transmission shifts fine the motor runs well see smokey burn out video (still will not up load if you want to see it you can text or call me and I can send it and any other pics you need. 813-545-9250 But to do the car justice I would of personal gone through everything. Looks like newer air shocks in the rear, isk brakes up front, nd power steering also looks like a tune up or at least newer plug wires were put on.

Interior looks awesome front buckets look great rear seat looks great dash pad has a crack needs to be replaced in my opinion or the cheaper route a pad cap. Carpet looks great dash itself in great shape counsel also looks great. The only gauge that does not work I believe is the gas tank if you look at the gas tank picture it looks newer. The owner said he never replaced it and it always looked like that probably the sending unit needs replacing. Looks like original undercoating underneath and in the trunk on the quarter panels if you pull some of it away you can see how solid the car is. All the glass is there and all windows function properly head liner also looks good. .

Sorry for being long winded just trying to accurately describe the car as I had to fly long distance to see the car in person the owner drove it from his house to the airport around a 45 minute trip in the car to meet me so its defiantly road worthy. Same owner since 1987! Solid and driving 340 CI 72 Barracuda that’s not full of rust and problems hard to come by. I welcome anyone to ask questions or come take a look at the car in person and I do reserve the right to end early the car is advertised locally.

The buyer is responsible for shipping and shipping cost although I will help with pick up.

I tried to describe the car accurately I may have left some things out so please ask questions the car is being sold as is with no warranty.

GOOD LUCK!! Ron
