Pontiac Bonneville 1965 Description

You are looking at what is probably the nicest, est preserved 1965 Pontiac Bonneville wagon left. This car is in all original condition with original paint, nterior, hrome, tc. and only 48,700 original miles. There are nice original cars, nd then there are REALLY nice original cars. This is the latter. It is amazing how well preserved it is. I truly hate to part with it, ut it's just time. I have had it since 2007, hen I purchased it from the original owner who cherished it since new and boy does it show.

I have posted about 100 photos in this description to carefully show the incredible condition of this car. Please take a close look.

The car as far as I can see has not had any paintwork. The original owner mentioned he had a small area fogged in on the rear quarter where there was a scratch but I truly can't find it, nd I am no stranger to this stuff. The paint is bright, lossy and I don't think its ever had a buffing wheel even put on it. The lower trim that usually has some road rash on '65 Bonnevilles looks like NOS. The interior shows almost no wear. The original carpet is very nice. The dash is a sight to behold. When you drive it, t feels like driving a new car. It does not rattle, himmy, reak etc.

The original owner was a car enthusiast and this was not the only car that he kept long term and in like new condition. He had a '57 Coupe de Ville with about 15,000 original miles on it that he also had bought new. He sold that shortly before he sold this car as well.

I have the original window sticker, ales invoice, uild sheet, ome old registrations and repair receipts through the 1980's and 1990's showing the mileage. The car had 46,758 miles on it when I bought it in 2007 and has 48,800 now. The car is equipped with LOTS of nice options - 389 V8 with 4 barrel, urbo Hydramatic, ower steering, rakes, ll windows (tailgate window, ent windows too), ower seat, M/FM radio, emote mirror, pinner hubcaps, nterior light package, nder hood reel out light, wo tone paint (silver blue with black roof) and Pontiac floor mats. Sticker price was $4754.80 delivered to David Fogel Pontiac in Wayne, A. Check out the original invoice, guess when the car arrived (it must have been ordered), t did not come with a tinted windshield as requested, o Bud Dodsworth the salesman gave him a set of the Pontiac crest rubber floor mats instead and put it in writing. The mats are still in there, hanks for that Bud. The original owner titled the car in his sister's name for some reason so he said. He transferred the title to his name when she passed in the 1980's . The address on the paperwork is the same all the way along from 1965 to 2007 in Malvern, A.

After I bought the car in 2007 I did some mechanical things that it needed after having done more sitting that driving. I did a full tune up, dded 5 correct 9.00x14 BFG Silvertown tires with 1 inch whitewalls, ecored the radiator, erviced the transmission, ut in new radiator and heater hoses and belts, ew rear main seal (used the new Vidon type), arburetor rebuild, ront end alignment, lushed the braking system and adjusted the shoes. It meets the road the way one would want it to. I also added the correct roof rack right after I purchased it with a very nice original one.

This car looks and feels like it has 10,000 miles on it. It just throws off that kind of appearance. That's a testament to the car the original owner gave it.
