Pontiac Grand Prix 1966 Description

1966 Pontiac Grand Prix two door hardtop unrestored survivor car with 77,000 original miles.
389, four barrel, auto trans, console, bucket seats, skirts, a real garage find. Last registration date is 1997.With a new battery and fresh fuel it started right up and runs good no engine noise and no smoke. We did clean the fuel tank and rebuilt the carburetor, it needs a new sending unit for the gauge to work.
The radiator has been re-cored and the cooling system flushed. A new windshield was installed and the rear glass was resealed. There is no rust around either window.
The original white parchment interior is in amazing condition the only wear spot is on the driver side seat and is pictured, the driver side seat is also power. The white parchment top is also original and an absolutely amazing condition for vinyl. There is no interior damage from mouse or other rodents, and the car is not full of mildew because it was stored inside for most of it's life.
The steering wheel is uncracked as is the dash pad, which is truly amazing.
The trunk mat tire cover and spare and Jack are all original and in good condition, there is some surface rust underneath the rear rubber mat just from a little moisture sitting under it, see pictures. Windshield was replaced and the original staples are still in place.
The majority of the paint is original, there is been some work on the quarter panels and you can also see the little bit of damage that the car has from the pictures.
Most everything on this car is original and it is mechanically sound. Starts right up and drives good down the road, obviously not perfect as it is been sitting for quite some time, but with some attention would be a super nice driver.Even has all the original T3 headlights that work.
Transmission sometimes stays in first until you let off, I assume it's probably a sticky valve in the valve body also from sitting.
This car is almost rust free and has absolutely zero cancer and the undercarriage is clean.
This car would get some serious attention just because it is so original!Good luck and happy bidding.
