Pontiac Other 1955 Description
I aquired this car 2 years ago from california, where it spent it's entire life before coming to ms., It is 99% rust free. a picture is included to show the only rust I found. The original V8 runs, and does not smoke, rattle and so on, trans shifts, brakes work, interior lights work, power windows work, But, I would not drive it on highway until a tune up, and brakes freshened up. The car has been inside of my building since I have owned it. The body has been reworked, removing all dents, and small spots of rust, stripped to bare metal, and epoxy applied, this was performed by me, I stripped the factory paint off the car, it was never repainted. It now needs priming, blocking and paint. Interior needs total restoration. All exterior chrome has been re=chromed(see pictures), all stainless is with car and in great shape(needs to be polished). Rear glass is missing, windshield has a few rock chips, passenger glass is cracked. The headliner chrome bows are still in car and needs to be rechromed,(missed those when I sent chrome to chrome shop). These star chiefs are getting real rare, especially a very solid car that pounds of bondo is not covered up with paint. It has the original hub caps, and fender skirts, shown in pictures. Previous owner stated that it has the actual miles on odometer, which is 64,500, after inspecting the brake pedal, and appearance of engine compartment, I believe it. The under seat heater is still like it came from the factory, all of dash and gauges are original. I would love to finish the car and keep it, but, I have 23 now, and some has got to go. I am not a dealer, I just love old cars, and always have. I have a clear california title that is open and signed by previous owner. for additional info, or pics, call 601-953-4688
