Pontiac Starchief 1955 Description

In a world full of 55-57 chevy's the Pontiac really stands out at a cruise in. I have for sale a 1955 Pontiac Starchief. I had the car off the frame and had the frame sandblasted and repainted. The metal and paint work was done by a local shop and a custom interior was installed by the Wizard of Rods out of Denver, PA. From the outside is looks like it rolled off the assembly line all the way down to the light up indian head hood ornament, but under the hood is completely different. I ran all new wiring, brake and fuel lines. The drivetrain is a chevy 350 zz4 crate motor (355HP) with aluminum heads and a TCI streetfighter automatic transmission. It has a be cool aluminum radiator and a custom exhaust. The radio is a custom autosound in dash cassette player with a 6 cd changer in the trunk.
The restoration was finished in 2003 and the car has been kept in a garage in the summers and storage in the winters since then. The car hasn't been driven over the last 2 years except to move it in and out of storage. I feel that the motor needs to be run more than I am able to do it. The car passed the Pennsylvania state inspection last year. I have not registered it yet this year. It will need to have a tune up and probably need to have the radiator flushed just because it has been sitting.
The interior is beautiful. The paint and chrome are very good with only a couple minor blemishes.
This car was a labor of love, but I built it before I had kids and now with 4 of them running around the house I don't have time or money for it now.
I hope that it can find a home where someone appreciates it. I can provide any additional pictures you want, but I would advise for you to come look at the car and see it for yourself.
Please ask questions if you have them before bidding.
