Pontiac Catalina 1963 Description

I have many more pictures. Frame off restoration begun on this low mileage coupe. frame and all suspension blasted and powder-coated in 80% black. 3:08 posi rear was professionally rebuilt with new parts. Disc brakes up front with dual master cylinder. Quick ratio power steering box from Z28. All new suspension up front and new bushings out back. Boxed rear control arms. Custom-made transmission crossmember to fit long shaft TH400. New custom-made drive shaft. Fuel tank cleaned and painted with new sending unit. Trunk floor had some pinholes so I coated the floor with fiberglass. It came out nice. All front inner sheet metal blasted and powder-coated. Hood, both fenders, both doors, and grill surround are at another shop and are included with this auction. They were stripped for painting but are now in bare metal state. All stainless trim is in excellent condition as are the glass. Front bumper is excellent original and rear bumper was re-chromed. Bumper brackets and bumper jack were all powder-coated. Automatic console is at another shop to be painted in appropriate places. Buyer will need late-model shifter for cable shift, like a GTO. Presently riding on 15 x 7 Pontiac Rallyes. Seats are very nice with no rips or tears. Carpet is new. Door panels have new backing. Rear package shelf is new. Transmission tunnel was cut out and replaced with one from a Bonneville so TH400 would fit. 4-Core DESSERT COOLER radiator. Front and rear seat belts with correct buckles. Original tilt steering column with good driver-quality deluxe steering wheel. Factory tachometer and console vacuum gauge are in excellent condition. Original padded dash is in excellent condition. Body has some parking lot type dents in quarters, but no rust. Both front fenders have a rust out spot about the size of a quarter. Car sat in a body shop in Kansas City for 25 years. It has sat in my basement for the past 10 years. I no longer have time or money for too many projects. My reserve is 5000.00 less than my investment, not to mention time. Now for the engine: 73 model 455 overbored .030 with new TRW pistons, COMP PLUS cam, roller rockers on 6X heads. 9.1 compression with MSD billet dist and wires. 6 AL box. Aluminum intake with rebuilt quadrajet. price of auction is for CAR ONLY. NO ENGINE. WINNING BIDDER HAS OPTION ON ENGING FOR ADDITIONAL 4000.00 IF WANTED. Otherwise I will pull the engine and all MSD ignition and leave transmission. If the car does not sell I will dis-assemble it and sell it in pieces. I really hate to do that to such a nice car.
