Pontiac Trans Am 1974 Description

You are looking at a nice solid, driver quality 1974 Pontiac Trans Am. This car is finished off in its correct code 75 Buccaneer Red with black deluxe interior. The body is very solid and rust free and has had one repaint in the very early 80's. The paint shines and looks good from 10 feet away, but when you get closer you can see the imperfections. The paint does have chips, some checking in areas and otherconsistent wear for its age. The floor and trunk pans are solid and rust free.

The car runs, starts, stops and drives very nice with no mechanical issues. The VIN matching Pontiac 400 CI engine is still in the car and hasNO knocks, ticks, smoking or any other problems. Thesmooth shifting transmission looks to have been replaced at some point, but is the correct TH400 automatic that would have come in the car, just not VIN matching like the engine. A correct 10 bolt posi rear end rounds out the drivetrain that has upgraded gearing (estimated to be 3.73:1). The car has brand new YearOne 17x9 Honeycomb wheels and 275/40ZR17 BFG g-Force Sport tires at all four corners. Detroit Speed Engineering 2" drop springs and new Koni shocks are installed at the rear, with stock springs up front. DSE front springs are included in sale, but not installed. I can also provide thestock rear leaf springs if you want them.

The correct colordeluxe interior is in great shape. There are no cuts or rips in theseats carpet or headliner. The dash and center console armrest arecrack free. All the gauges work with the exception of the clock. There is a Sony aftermarket stereo installed withBluetooth and Aux inputs as well. This is a factory A/C car and all components are still in place, but A/C doesnot work.

While the barn findterm is overused in the classic car market thesedays, thiscar was truly tucked away in a garage for years and not used.It is a great car that youcan drive and enjoyas is,but could also be an excellent starting point for a nut and bolt restoration, or wouldmake a killer pro tour/power tour car! The possibilities are endless!
