Pontiac Other 1950 Description
1950 Pontiac Star Chief ConvertibleRestoration or Hotrod Project.
I am offering this car for a friend, is name is Gary and can be reached at 1 (250) 836-5379 or 1 (250) 463-1356 or if you send me an email I will pass it on for you.
History: This is a typical barn find that was recovered a few years ago and has been parked in my friends shop (Gary's Hotrods) ever since. It has been decades since it was on the road it was his intention to do some mild custom work to it, ut other projects have gotten in the way and now he needs the space.
Mechanical: There is no engine, ransmission, adiator or drive shaft, he car steers and rolls easily, he tires don't hold air for long but will be replaced with good roller tires for shipping.
Body: The floors are in poor and rusty condition as is the trunk floor, runk lid and rocker panels. The rest of the body is fairly decent with minimal dents and less than the expected amount of rust for a car of this vintage. It appears that all convertible specific parts are there (including the pinch weld moulding) there is a bend in one of the convertible top bows but it would be easy to straighten.
Interior: The interior needs everything but appears to be complete and includes under seat heaters. The windows all roll up and down.
Over all: The car is rough but very rare and would be an excellent street rod candidate. In needs a lot, ut if rodded you would be replacing a lot of the parts anyway. Occasionally you see early 50's Chevy convertibles at the shows but it is almost impossible to find a Pontiac. If you looking for an rare car that when done will stand out from the crowd then this may be the car for you, t won't cost a fortune to buy and is a worthy investment. There are boxes of extra parts that go with this Pontiac as well.
Contact: Please feel free to call Gary for a first hand account of the car and for specific concerns and questions. The car can be stored at no charge for several months for the buyer if needed. Please remember this is not my car and you should call Gary at the phone numbers above for detailed information, f you don't get an answer leave a message he is good at returning calls.
Shipping and paperwork: This car is being sold on a bill of sale. If it goes to a US buyer or overseas I can help with the necessary shipping and documentation to import the car (at the buyers expense) as I have experience in this area. I can arrange shipping quotes, ut this is time consuming and will only be done for the winning bidder. For more information on what is involved send me an email or call me directly at 1 (250) 515-1110.
If you can't pay don't play...
Scammers... give me a break I've heard it all before.
