Pontiac Trans Am 1976 Description
This car is a very desirable T/A with the right options. including factory A/C and split rear seat with console. It is a one-owner Colorado car for most of its life that was kept garaged in the winter. The engine is still factory with no mods as is the interior with the exception of an after-market radio (no cutting) and new headliner. Good title and original build sheet. The build sheet lists the same ordering dealer as the applique on the rear spoiler. The car was dealer serviced and even has a newer Delco battery. The dash is good with one very small ding in the right lower corner. Original spare and inflator still in the trunk. Floorpans. trunk wells. and door bottoms are like new. The doors hang properly with no sag. Possibly the last original rust-free TA on the East coast! It starts and runs great and drives and stops straight. Clutch is smooth. Now. the car is not new nor does it look so. The paint is sunburnt and will likely need a re-spray. The headlight surrounds have some peeling chrome. It will likely need a new heater core ($40) as the current one leaked. Thus. the carpet was removed and cleaned. The carpet is in fair shape but the jute backing is all new and was cut to original specs. The front seat console lid has a crack on top. The optional roof drip moldings are cracked and needing replacement. The doors have a few minor parking lot dings. The net is the car is very solid and will make an excellent daily driver or easy show restoration project. Buyer will be responsible for arranging shipping and paying shipper but seller will cooperate. The reserve price is at the low end of the range for a car of this caliber. I am not one for messing with artificially low bids and have started the bidding at $10. 00. I have given my best description of the car but the photos will tell you most anything else. Seller will hold car up to fourteen (14) days after auction ends. However. payment in full will be required within 72 hours of auction close. Cash. Wire transfer. or PayPal are the best options. Sorry. but no Cashier's checks as there is too much fraud out there.
