Pontiac VENTURA 1960 Description


  • Pontiac has been in family since 1962 when my dad purchased the car for my older brother at Fram Pontiac in Downey,Ca. Later my middle brother took over payments and had the car ever since till he passed away in 2010 when I purchased the car from my sister-in-law. Car sat for about twenty years with just occasional motor start up so when I took the car I did many repairs to get the car back on the road.Paint and upholstery are original with only a few fender benders that required minor repairs that the original sheet metal was not replaced and the interior is the same except for the package tray and vent panels that were done in tuck-n-roll. Carpet was replaced in about 196, only because my brother was talked into it when he was having the tuck-n-roll done but original is still underneath. I had the transmission don, 4 speed automatic, bout two years ago and only about 150 miles on it so far . Engine is still original 389ci 2BBL and has never been gone through.New radiator and tires about a year and a half ago and new exhaust system . I have gone through the complete brake system with all new shoes,wheel cylinders,booster.Miles on car are around 175000 but not exact since the speedo was disconnected years ag, but is working again and showing around 75000 miles .Paint has some blemishes in a few places and some faded spots but for original is still pretty nice. Due to my health and eye site I am letting the car go to someone that can get more driving enjoyment .
