64 PONTIAC CATALINA

3 SPEED ON THE COLUMN

4 DOOR SEDAN.... A HOTEL ON WHEELS.... Vin # is 834D19465
This car runs great but it has been sitting for about a year.Iactually drove it for about 6 months...
It needs a battery and I think that the linkage may be stuck because the last time I cranked it up, hen I put it in gear, t didn't move. It has been sitting for about a year but with a little TLC, ou will have no problems outta this car.
This PONTIAC CATALINA is in very re-storable condition. The body is in great shape with very minimal rust. It will require floor pans as most un-restored old vintage cars do these days but I have seen far worse than this.
This CATALINA... belonged to my late Father. He pulled his race car with it.I have haddifferent people tell me different things about the motor. Someone said it wasa 389, hat originally comes in this model. And someone said that it was a 455. My daddy didn't mess around whenit comes tomotors... However, e didn't care at all what the outside looked like...lol. I WANT SOMEONE THAT APPRECIATES IT BECAUSE I DONT WANT IT TO SIT NO MORE....
SO PLEASE SEE PHOTOS BECAUSE IDK..AND PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS... I WILL DO MY BEST TO ANSWER THEM CORRECTLY!
The headliner is all there with only a little damage. There is no key. It will require a new floor carpet. it would make an easy restoration project. You would never see another one.
It steers freely and all tires hold air so can easily be loaded onto a trailer. PICK UP REQUIRED...

THIS IS SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM OTHER PEOPLE:
I did some checking on the engine and it appears to be the original 389 with different valve covers (the blue painted covers with black caps in them).

This is based on the numbers in the cast iron heads just below that cover and the style of intake manifold/2 barrel carb that's on it.

Your engine appears to be original to the car. Std. 389 cu. inch, lock coded "10A". Code location is on the front of block, assenger side, ust below where the cylinder head is attached. Probably covered with grease. It is stamped on, ot raised cast like the part number you have mentioned.
It's power rating was 267hp. Not a fire breather, ut lots of torque. The std 3-on-the-tree manual trans was offered on all pontiacs but rarely ordered. 90% were automatics. Rare only because it was not very popular.
