Pontiac Trans Am 1976 Description
1976 Firebird Trans Am PHS, 25 Month rotisserie restoration SHOW quality paint. NOT NUMBERS MATCHING but was born a 455 4spd . 1 of 7528 cars made with the last 455 engines. This car was purchased in June 2014 and went through a 25 Month restoration. The car was purchased all apart, the owner had passed away. I have put together multiple second generation cars over the years. I spent a great deal of time on this restoration swapping parts and body panels to get nice fit and gaps. Needless to say it may not have the parts it was born with but it got the best of what I have. Nice rust free fenders and doors, see pics some small rust repair to quarter all metal finished. Floor pan at drivers footwell replaced.
I have monitored Hagerty and NADA classic pricing since owning this car with an upward trend. NADA adds 10% for 4 speed and 20% for 455 engine. Last price range on NADA was 17,065 to $65,130. I even went to Scottsdale 2016 to view a couple 76 Trans Ams selling there lot 103 and 931 specifically. I would compare mine to 931 that sold for $51,700
This car was born Carousel Red a very low option car. I have made changes, additions or un-desirable depending on your own opinion. To me the car was built the way I would have liked to see it in 1976.
