Pontiac Le Mans 1971 Description

Car is the "SPORT" model. Must sell due to pending job-loss. I bought the car in April 2014 from a classic car dealer in Washington state over eBay and has been inside pretty much ever since. The car came stock with the "Endura" option which is essentially a GTO nose. and hood. I added the hood tach. and rear wing which are both restoration quality reproductions. I'm not sure of the mileage. the speedometer shows 39k and appears to be the original gauge but I'd guess it probably turned over once though. Overall very solid car. rides smooth. and has very little rust on the body. Fenders. quarters had some very minor surface rust. but no rot. Trunk is clean. rear bumper could use a re-chrome but still looks fine. Undercarriage has the normal surface rust you'd expect on a 44 year old car. I found one small hole in the passenger side floor that did not justify installing a new floor pan so I sealed it with metal epoxy which really worked great. Brake lines all checked out fine. exhaust has no leaks and has Flow-master type mufflers. it really has a nice sound. There is a Sony AM/FM/CD unit and two back speakers. sounds ok. There is still an original radio. doesn't work though. No front speaker but they are inexpensive to replace. The car has the following features and new parts:Engine: 350 4 bbl. . not the original engine but is period correct. Original motor would have had a 2 bbl. It arrived with a factory 4 bbl. carb which was rebuilt before I bought a Holley). I have Pontiac Historical Society (PHS) documentation which includes copies of the original build sheet and dealer invoice. Also included are original vintage owner's manual (came with the car). Pontiac sales brochures. and re-prints of the original GM Service. Fischer Body. and factory assembly manuals ($300+ value). She deserves another good home. thank you for bidding!
