Pontiac Other 1958 Description
1958 Pontiac 4 door Chieftain for sale. (All pictures were taken yesterday. I just never update the date on the cam. ) Car was last registered in 1968. Has a 370 motor that spins free and an automatic transmission. Couldn't find the casting numbers on the motor but it does have the correct 528511 heads and 528577 intake so no reason to think this is something other than the 370. 2 barrel Carb. Car is pretty solid and original. Both front fenders. hood. trunk lid. nbsp;roof and drip rails have NO rot with just surface rust. All glass except the front windshield and rear driver door is in good shape. Outer door skins look pretty good. Is the car rot free. no. As most cars this old there are some typical bad spots. Floor/trunk pans. 1 lower quarter. 1 rocker. inner door. etc. etc 95% of the trim is present. Front bumper is excellent with one tiny dent. Even has the original radio Has all four original hub caps sitting on the front seat. Frame is in great shape. it looks like it was undercoated from the factory. As you know the 370 motor was produced for one year only. Miles shown are 36. 16. Not sure if it rolled over or if that's original. but the gas and brake pedal don't show signs of 136. 00 miles. Between the glass. frame. solid body parts. rare motor. bumper. dash. radio etc. etc this car could part out for A LOT more. heck I bet all the trim is worth the asking price. Just look on ebay for 58 parts. there isn't any but I think it's too solid of a car to part and should get a chance. I don't have the time for either parting or restoring at this time. This is why it's for sale. Rear end has been removed and does not go with the car. I have two floor jacks and engine hoist to help load the car onto the trailer. Car has a trailer hitch to hook to. Car is for sale local. I reserve the right to end auction early. Down payment of $100 is required with in 48 hrs of auction ending. Rest is due on pick up in CASH. Car must be picked up with in 2 weeks of auction ending. Bill of sale will be provided Alabama doesn't have titles for cars this old. No keys. but everything is opened.
