Pontiac Firebird 1992 Description

1992 Pontiac Firebird - 3.1L Auto, 24K miles, owners, o accidents, nd a nice easy mostly winter free life:
PAINT: I would classify it as "fair" - meaning there are chips, ubs, cratches, ome fading, lakeing, tc. There are some very small rust spots here and there. The paint on the hood is chipping off right down to the primer. Clearcoat on the nose is lifting from basecoat. I would say this car needs a new paint job, ut that the foundation of the car is solid and worth putting the effort into it.
BODY: I would classify the body as a strong "good". No evidence of serious collisions, o rust underneath, ery minor surface rust in a few spots where the paint has been chipped - but overall very solid. This was a FL car most of its life until 2004 which explains the lack of rust underneath. Check the vehicle history tab - it's had a good life. Very solid for the year. Check pics - we made every effort to be as honest as possible in displaying the condition of the paint and body. There is a small dent with scratches in the passenger's side rear wheel arch - looks like someone rubbed the inside of a garage door when pulling in. Will update with pic as soon as I can.
ENGINE: This is a strong motor that runs with no knocks, icks, eaks or smoking. I would classify it as "very good". Belts are good, il is good (no metal or anitfreeze) but I would suggest changing it soon. Plugs are good, ir filter is good - starts, rives, o CEL. Needs nothing.
TRANNY: Same as engine - except trans oil is nice and pink and will not need changing. Shifts are tight, o slipping. Not abused in its past life.
INTERIOR: I would also classify this as "good". Previous owner installed some kind of speaker enclosure in the hatch. As you can see in the pics, t could use some cleaning, ut its all there and in good shape. Door panels are fully attached, eats have no holes, teering wheel and dash are not cracked - all panels and trim are in place. Carpets are intact and without holes. It's a little dirty, ut all there and in good shape. Check the pics and you will see what I mean. Panasonic aftermarket CD head unit is installed.
DRIVELINE: Exhaust is excellent - no leaks, o holes. Brakes are kept up and need nothing. Pedal is high and hard. Rides smooth, o clunks, attles, r squeaks. Rear end is tight, o leaks. Ball joints and bushings all appear to be sound. Shocks and struts are good.
Seller of this car is very sick and on dialysis and can no longer work on the car or even take care of it anymore (washing, acuuming, hanging oil, tc.). His eyesight has gotten so bad that I am having to list the car for him as he can't see the computer screen clearly. I have known him for some 30 years so I have intimate knowledge of the car and how it has been kept. He bought the car from a dealer 5 years ago and he has babied it since he got it. He had to stop driving it when his health went south which is also why the car has not been prepped for sale like is customary. Even still, t is basically turnkey - starts on the first crank and off it goes - needing nothing but a paint job and I would suggest 4 new tires (see pics). Owner is willing to show the car to potential bidders and allow a test drive to verify all that is said here. Car is located in WRJ, t. Ask and I will arrange appointment.
