Up for sale we have a 1964 Pontiac GTO 2 Door Post. In 1964 Pontiac started the muscle car craze with the introduction of the GTO. It was a light weight body with a big V8. The one we have has had a body off resto with painted floors. It even has theoriginalMatchingNumbers389 and is a factory 4 Speed car with PHS Docs. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior interior and driveline of the Pontiac but first we would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned operated and own our entire inventory no consignments and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information pictures or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.

We will start off with the exterior of the GTO. Down the sides it’s laser straight with great lines. The fit of the panels are very good. At the time of the resto the bumpers were replaced as well as other chrome. All the stainless and glass looks great with all the weather stripping seals having been replaced. The body is covered in the factory Grandier Red that was done with the car apart. Hours have been spent buffing and polishing to ensure a deep rich shine. All the jams as well as under the hood and in the trunk look as it should. The floors pans under the car are painted to match. The final exterior touch is the set 18" and 20" Americans.

Next we will take a look at the interior of the ’64. On the inside it looks as it would have when new. It’s done in Black. It has the correct bucket seats and covers. Also it has the correct shifter carpet door panels and headliner that looks very good. When you look at the dash it has the correct A/C controls and a factory tach along with a wood wheel.

Finally we will take a look at the driveline of the Pontiac. Under the hood it’s powered by the date code correct 389 V8 that has the 3x2s. It was a factory 4 Barrel car but has been upgraded to the tri power. The trans is a Four Speed. Also this GTO has Power Steering and Power Brakes with disc being added up front. It is a factory A/C car that still works. When you look under it everything looks like new with painted floors and frame. It has new brake and fuel lines as well as a new tank. At the time of the build and the bushing front and rear were replaced.

This is a true GTO with PHS docs that we have date coded to have the original 389. If we can help you in any way with questions or a specific picture you can call our office at (865)988-8088.
