Pontiac Bonneville 1966 Description

You are bidding on a VERY STRAIGHT 1966 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible at NO RESERVE!!! This car is a factory power window car and all of the power window components and wiring are still in-place. This car still retains all of its chrome lower body side mouldings. They are all in decent shape with no significant corrosion or damage. They do have some pitting but are VERY WORTHY of being re-chromed. There is no engine or transmission in this car but if interested I have a 1968 Pontiac 428 engine and a T-400 long shaft transmission that I would consider selling with the car for an additional amount. I have been informed that this car originally came with a 421 engine and a T-400 trans. All chrome and trim that has been removed is in the car and does go with it. I believe that the only trim item that is missing is the rear bumper. The front bumper is restorable. The car was originally silver with a black leather interior and black convertible top. A long time ago it was painted red and had a white top. Now as you can see in the pics it is mostly in primer and there is no top. The top frame is in good shape and the glass rear window is in the trunk and ready to be installed into a new top. There is very little rust on the body of the car just a small spot on the drivers corner of the hood the passengers corner of the trunk lid and the typical areas just ahead of each back tire behind the chrome lower body mouldings. The engine bay is actually pretty clean and would take little effort to bring it back to showroom quality. The front core support seems to be solid with no obvious areas rusted through. The frame also appears to be very solid with nothing more than some surface rust. The passenger’s side floors seem to be solid but the driver’s side is in need of replacement as does the trunk floor. There are some rust holes through the floor of the top well area above the rear axle. The cowl appears to be in good shape. All of the original glass is still installed and in good condition. The pot metal and lower dash is in fair shape and there is a second fully padded dash top in the trunk that is worthy of recovering that also goes with the car.

This car is being sold as either a parts car or a rolling chassis that is in need of a complete restoration. This would make a GREAT FATHER SON PROJECT !!!

You don’t see many BIG CRUISERS like this at your typical car shows and even less of the WIDE TRACK PONTIACS so don’t miss out on this opportunity to own a piece of CLASSIC AMERICAN AUTOMOBILE NOSTALGA!!!
