Pontiac Firebird 1981 Description

1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Dorado Gold w/black cloth interior 5.0 V8 with the hard to find factory 4 speed. The 4 speed was only available in 1981 with the small block Chevy V8 enginefrom GM. The car is equipped with acpower windows and locks and has the WS6 suspension with 4 wheel disc brakes. According to the previous owner the car was repainted about 10 years ago in its original color and the paint is in nice condition. The body is very solid with a small bubble behind the left front wheel and on the top of the left front fender. There is also a small rust spot on the pillar on the passenger side of the windshield by the window chrome and spot on the front edge of the hood where it appears as a small dent may have been repaired. These imperfections are all very minor and are not noticeable from 10 foot away. There is no floor rust trunk rust or frame rail rust that I can find. The V8 engine runs strong and I was told it was the original engine but I can't say for sure. It has been updated with an Edelbrock intake and a Holley 4 barrel carb. All of the emission equipment has been removed as well as the AC compressor and hoses. The condensor and evaporator core are still in place. The car also has headers with dual exhaust with Pypes mufflers. It has a great sound. The heater core was recently replaced as well as the e brake cables. The interior needs a package tray and there is a rip in the top of the back seat upholstery probably from the sun. There is also some wear on the drivers seat and the headliner could probably be replaced to be perfect. There are no cracks in the dash and the console is nice. Included in the sale is the sales brochure owners manual and PHS documentation on the car. I also have the spare tire inflator and chrome Trans Am tips for the exhaust. Also included is a new decal kit with hood bird. ($300 value) This is not a perfect car but it is great driver that looks respectable.
