Pontiac Other 1975 Description
TIME CAPSULE 1975 PONTIAC GRANDVILLE CONVERTIBLEI purchased this car from the widow of the original owner. Untouched in storage since 2000! 1 of only 4,519 ever produced by Pontiac and it is the last ever full sized convertible ever produced by Pontiac. This car has all its original documentation such as owners manual, indow sticker, ill of sale and even all the North Carolina inspection receipts supporting the original mileage to be correct at 43,948 I picked the car up from the same address on the bill of sale where it has been garaged and lived since new. This has been a NC car its whole life, nd remember they do not use road salt in NC so the car is rock solid and the undercarriage is clean and dry. This is a survivor car it has not been restored and dolled up. It did have a complete repaint from GM because of the paint issues GM has with cracking lacquer paint in the 1970's. It was done over 20 years ago yet still looks amazing. You can see this car was well taken care of. After purchasing I had the fuel tank pulled and boiled out, new power brake booster and master cylinder installed, ew front calipers and pads. We let the engine sit with Marvel mystery oil in the cylinders for a week before attempting to start. We installed a new battery, hanged the oil and spark plugs and the mighty 455 started right up and ran like it was running yesterday. AMAZING, hey will never build cars like this again! I have driven it locally through the neighborhood it and runs and drives real smooth. I have yet to drive it any great distances. The top works and all the power windows work. Even the original 8 track radio still works. It will need valve cover gaskets soon they are starting to leak a little. The body on this car looks great the color is beautiful in the Sun full of metallic. The bumpers were re-chromed when the car was repainted so they shine like new. I do have the skirts for it they are in the trunk along with the convertible boot. The interior is still in real nice shape, he drivers front seat area does show some wear and it has a small about 6 inch rip. The rest of the seats are real nice. Study the photos and I have a video of it running. This is an Unbelievable find so don't miss out. Remember this is a survivor car not a frame off restoration. It is UNRESTORED still as it left GM. THEY ARE ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE! I have left this car as original as possible the new owner can decide how much he/she wants to modify and upgrade. I have a clear NC title in my name it is my own personal car.
