Pontiac Catalina 1969 Description

I picked up this car about 6 years ago from a guy in Carlsbad when it was red with black interior and top. I had the interior fully restored by a professional local shop with vinyl. new carpet and steering wheel. I had them restore the undercarriage. replaced the gas tank and rebuild the engine (4 years ago). All the valves and belts were replaced recently. the engine is free of oil yet the engine compartment looks presentable but not showroom sharp. The transmission is automatic and it drives and shifts smoothly. I've taken trips from San Diego to Los Angeles and it cruises at highway speeds like a storm cloud over Seattle. The steering was loose when I bought her but has sense been tightened up for much more responsive handling. The convertible top is like new. black canvas with glass window in the back. it is electric and goes up and down without a hitch. I had Western cyclone rims added to the car as I thought they looked better than the hubcaps which I'm sure you can find for a cheap price online. The trunk interior was redone with carpeting and holds two amplifiers and a subwoofer that help drown out the wind on highway rides. The AC works but I live in San Diego and rarely use it. All the chrome was restored and still in excellent condition as evidenced from the pics. Most of the rubber molding is good aside from the passenger side rear window/door area. I had the car painted gloss black a few years ago but have since noticed a couple small cracks on the hood near the drivers mirror and on the passenger door. This car has turned head since the day she got covered in black paint and can be heard from a couple blocks away. She brings doom wherever she rolls.
