Pontiac Le Mans 1965 Description
1965 LeMans GTO Tribute. Very well done and maintained. Car was built in 1996 and still shines and shows very well. Motor is a 400 out of a 73 Grand Prix. It has been upgraded with new Edelbrock intake and carb, ull length Hooker competition headers and dual flow master mufflers. Car runs great no smoke or engine noise. Trans is a th350 with a very firm shift kit. Car has B&M Mega shifter in console. Will put original back in if preffered. Rear is a 10 bolt posi with 373 or 355 grears. Breaks have been upgraded to GM power disk breaks in front wirh drums in back. Car stops very well. Interior is in great shape with newer seat covers, arpeting, oor panels, nd head liner. Also has auto meter 3 gage set up and autoguage tach with internal shift light. Mechanical oil pressure was never hooked up. Just have gotten to it. Very well done conversion to GTO standards. Only way to tell it is not a true GTO is to research the vin. All trim and chrome are in great shape as well. Car has been graraged under cover since completion. She is driven often to local shows and to take the kids to the icecream shop. I have owned for the last five years. She needed nothing but a new battery. Very reliable runs at 180 to 190 all day. Paint still shines like new. Shows signs of age in small bubbles on roof. Had new quarters put in before repaint. Can see minor waves in doors. Floors have new pans welded in. Shop must have done a quick job as they were put in over the original rusted floors. Trunk also appears to have new floor in it. She currently rides on a good looking set of 14inch rally II's painted charcoal with a clear coat. They have good pmd center caps and beauty rings. Tires are bias ply good tread but would recommend replacing with radials as the bias tires like to wonder and follow the imperfections in the road. Car handled much better with a set of 15 inch radials from my other car. This car needs nothing. Turn key and drive anywhere. Great chance to oun a GTO with out the over inflated GTO price. Selling car only to buy one of my dads cars with sentimental value. Will be out of town till next week. So I will not be able to add more picks untill I get back. Feel free to ask questions as i will be checking messages frequently. Reserve right to end early as car is listed locally. Thanks Mike
