1979 Trans Am - Very Rare W72 400 4spd, SE - WS6 -Black- T-Top - Only 1107 Made

Pontiac Trans Am 1979 Description

1979 Trans Am - Extremely Rare W72 400, 4spd, Black T-Top Smokey And The Bandit SE -WS6 and on top of that a very rare Van Nuys Build car with the W72 400, 4spd option. They only Produced 1,107 400,4spd SE Trans Am's and what even makes the car even more rare that it is a WS6,T-Top Car and a very rare Van Nuys Build Car.
Has the Correct W72 400 motor, block casting number 481988, has the correct 4 barrel Carburetor, number on the carb is 17059263, also has the correct 6X heads and the correct chrome valve covers. I did put gas in the carburetor and the motor does run and sounds fine, just ran it for several seconds, that's all. You will have to do a full tune up and service from being stored. Has it's original 4spd tranny and the partial vin is on the passenger side on a little pad and it matches the vin on the car, I verified that. It has it's correct Hurst Shifter.
The original color of the Trans Am is Starlight Black. The body looks to be pretty straight. The Trans Am over all looks pretty solid, I don't see any major rust issues, floors and truck look good along with the rest of the body, The car will still need some body work and paint. You can see all the detailed pictures of the body, floors and Trunk that I have posted. This is a Original Van Nuys Car, it's been in LA and AZ it's whole life.
The original color of the interior is Camel Tan Velour. The seats and carpet are in ok shape for it's age. Comes with dash that is in great shape that you will have to install, you can see all of this stuff in the posted pictures. The interior will need some restoring and put back together along with new door panels and odds and ends.
The WS6 Special Performance Package comes with Rear Disc Brakes, Bigger Front and Rear Sway Bars and Close Ratio Steering Box and 15X8 Snowflake Rims. Rare Option!
Comes with lots of extra parts, some of the parts are posted in the detailed pictures, but comes with more parts that are not in the pictures, Some parts are missing too. I have 3 WS6 15X8 Snowflake wheels that come with the car.
This 1979 Trans Am W72 400 4spd, Smokey And The Bandit SE with the WS6 Package, also Black with FactoryT-Tops, rare Van Nuys car and They made 1,107 400, 4spd SE's only! It was very hard to get a 1979 Trans Am W72 400, 4spd out of a Van Nuys Plant because of emissions and some other stuff. This is a wonderful Project to fix up.
This very Rare Trans Am is a very desirable car and a wonderful investment and these cars are really going up in valve.
