Pontiac Firebird 1967 Description

1967 Pontiac Firebird First Generation

This car is a GREAT driver quality car! FUN to drive, looks good, turns lots of heads and sounds great! It’s the first year that Pontiac made the Firebird which makes it highly collectible. Not many nice Firebirds at the local car shows! It came from the factory as a 326 V8 auto in its current color Regimental Red with the DELUXE black interior which is still ALL ORIGINAL!

I am the 4th owner and I have a clean title in hand. The car has recently been dyno tuned and the report will go with the car. Motor and Transmission have less than 1000 miles on them since they were rebuilt. I have a folder full of receipts documenting almost of the work that has been done to this car over the last 8 years.

This car is ready to drive! Nothing needed to start taking to cruise nights next week! Improve upon it little by little as you see fit. Summer is coming…get yourself a classic muscle car and have some fun!

Engine: The motor delivers 316HP(4950RPM) and 390(3700RPM) torque to the back wheels. Has a GREAT muscle car sound with a nice loping cam…see video on YouTube.

Body: Car had body work done and a repaint in the factory original Regimental Red before I bought it. As the pictures show paint looks good, but up close shows some age. All fenders, quarters, doors, floors, and trunk are solid. Slight rust around window trim (front and back, see photo) and under vinyl top. Vinyl top is in EXCELLENT condition. Back chrome bumper is in great shape, front bumper has some surface rust on the underside, barely noticeable. I have a new aftermarket front bumper that will go with the sale.

Interior: Original interior! Seats, carpet, dash, headliner all in GREAT shape! Package tray needs to be replaced. Three gauge (oil, temp, volts) was added to the console as well as a shift light tachometer on the steering column. Aftermarket radio is in the car. Original A/C car but not hooked up. Manual windows and locks.

Wheels & Tires: Aftermarket custom wheels with BF Goodrich Radial TA’s with about 50% of the tread left.

Recent work/maintenance performed:
New Fuel delivery system (fuel pump, lines, gauge, sending unit, gas tank)
New brake booster unit
Front end alignment
New Sub Frame Connectors
Trunk interior restored.

Work needs to be done:
Adjust or replace neutral safety switch. Original one still in the car, but I have the correct TH700 one that needs to be installed and will include with sale. Package tray needs to be replaced to make the interior complete.

Original owners manual will be included with the sale.
