Pontiac Star Chief 1962 Description
For Sale: 1962 Pontiac Star Chief --- Stunning, garage-kept with 51,000 ORIGINAL miles!! ONEowner (my great grandfather who religiously replaced his vehicles every two years). This had been in our garage, sitting among several Model T's & Model A's, until early 2015. At that point, everything that needed to be fixed or replaced was done to restore this car to exactly what it would look like coming off the assembly line. The last picture located, she is sitting with her sisters ('67 Vette & '26 Model T), where she slept for the past ~50 years or so.
ROAD READY and looks the same as it did coming home from the dealership back in '62! Absolutely no work necessary at this point and is ready to be driven. The attached pictures are from this winter but would be more than happy to snap some additional pictures if necessary.
Willing to discuss REASONABLE offers only, however we'rein no rush to sell the car so low-ball bids will simply being "over-looked"...
- ALL ORIGINAL, including chrome, stainless, and "soft" trim throughout the vehicle
- 389 V-8 engine
- Power steering, power brakes
- Factory automatic transmission, AM radio
- ROAD READY... just turn the key and you're good to go
The car is located in Upstate NY (Steuben County) but am willing to help facilitate shipping as long as expenses are covered.
There's another '62 Star Chief listed on Ebay... the two aren't even remotely close to being comparable in terms of condition so PLEASE do not send me messages saying there's another one listed for $2k. If you want a title-less project from scratch, complete with Bondo and rust (as the other car shows), this is NOT the vehicle for you.
Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to discuss further. Thanks for taking a look!
