Pontiac Other 1987 Description
This beautiful 1987 Pontiac Safari is in outstanding condition with just 55,000 miles! In Colonial White with Fawn interior, it has power windows, locks, cruise, and A/C . The A/C has been leak tested and works great; it simply needs the R12 bled off and R134 pumped in. I am not interested in changing it over so will leave that decision to the new owner. Right now, the A/C blows lukewarm air. Everything works in this car, including the clock! It is basically rust free, excepting a few small spots of very light surface rust on the undercarriage. It was a garaged vehicle most of its life. The interior is a solid 10. It is flawless and as new in every respect including the headliner and carpeting. The exterior is probably an 8. The paint is excellent and the woodgrain is in very good condition, with a very few tiny scratches here and there only noticeable on close inspection. The faux wood trim surrounding the woodgrain paneling consists of a clear cellophane type covering woodgrain; around the door handles, the clear cellophane wants to delaminate. I'm sure there are fixes for this, but I do not have the time to redo the trim. The car is not a show car, as it s 30 years old. That being said, it is a very nice driver that gets an amazing amount of attention wherever you go. There aren't many of these old wagons left, and very few in this condition.
Buyer is responsible for shipping although I am happy to assist other than financially. I have a clear title to the car and the miles are guaranteed original. There is an oil change sticker inside the windshield stating that the car is due for its next oil changed at 56,000 miles. The sticker is dated from 2011. Regardless, I have changed the oil.
Buyer required to deposit $500 within 24 hours; balance due by Cashier's check within 7 days.i
Auto Check apparently shows a mileage discrepancy from 1990 when the car had 8000 miles. It also shows mileage of 138000 in 2001. This is not possible that it could have had mileage that high as the car was owned many years by an elderly couple who rarely drove. The total accumulated mileage after 2011 is only about 2000 miles according to the oil change records. If you look at or buy this car and are dissatisfied after inspecting and driving it, I will gladly refund your money. These miles are 100 % legitimate. There is no title problem and it will easily pass emissions testing.
