Pontiac Trans Am 1979 Description

This is nice ’79 Trans Am that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. I have the build sheet for this car and it was originally a true 400ci 4 speed T/A. Actual mileage is unknown, see below for a detailed description.
Exterior:
The exterior of this car has been repainted at some point in its original Heritage brown. It has an excellent shine and appears to have been done professionally. There are numerous paint chips (see pictures) that could easily be covered up with touch up paint, but as the seller I prefer to leave it as is so the buyer can see them. There is a barely noticeable small outward ding in the left front fender that doesn’t even show up in pictures, as well as a barely noticeable inward ding on the right front fender. Certain areas of the decals are slightly delaminating, but not worth replacing in my opinion. Overall the car looks great, extremely presentable the way it sits. The 17” Gold Snowflake wheels and tires have very little wear onthem and are in excellent condition. I am probably over describing the paint, but as a potential buyer these are the things I would want to know.
Interior:
The interior is in nice condition overall and has normal wear. The headliner fits tight (no sagging), seats are in nice condition, dash is in nice condition, carpet is nice, console shows some wear. I have the original seats (see picture) that I was going to recover and put back in the car, but the seats currently in the car are very comfortable so I chose to leave them in. The tachometer works sporadically, all other gauges work. The aftermarket CD player and speakers sound great, power antenna works, windshield wipers work, car originally had a/c but parts of it are currently missing.
Undercarriage:
The undercarriage is in nice condition and overall looks nice and clean. There are some patches in the floor pan that have been done with replacement metal (not a bunch of goop covering things up). MANY new parts in this car including urethane bushings throughout. Nothing is needed to get in this car and drive it everyday. VERY solid car overall.
Drivetrain :
This T/A has the sought after 400ci Pontiac engine (unsure if it is numbers matching) that is mildly built. Has a very nice rumble to it with plenty of power, sounds great with jet hot coated headers and Flowmaster mufflers, Proform 650cfm carb., Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake ( the“shaker” part of the hood has been bolted to the hood to accommodate the intake and carb. Looks completely stock from the outside but the shaker lifts up with the hood). It runs excellent, no issues starting cold or hot and has always been very reliable. The 4 speed transmission shifts nice and the clutch works as it should. The car has a posi rear end, 4 wheel power disc brakes and power steering.
